I haven't played it, but I have came across it here and there on the internet. I recently saw that Splatoon 3 themed Nintendo Switch OLED models were for sale, and I thought it was cute. However, I have never played Splatoon in general (I only listened to some of the music tracks), so I don't think I want to purchase the themed console.

You don't really need to play the other two, the games are fairly standalone.
