I've been having a problem with how loud the downstairs neighbor is. I've been waking up to her slamming doors almost every day for 4 months. But I realized if I say anything, she can complain about the weekends we've been up late listening to music. It's insane though, it's over and over for 30 minutes to an hour. There's no justifiable reason for what she's doing. It's every single day at 9am. And it took me 4 months to realize the obvious solution. Wake up at 8:30. It's so simple I literally feel dumb, haha. The past few days have been a lot better. It's tolerable when you're wide awake, and not trying to go back to sleep. Drowned out by whatever I'm doing.
You can't always change what other people do. And more often than not, it seems, people just retaliate when you try and communicate a problem. I think the best way is to see if you can resolve it yourself.
I used to work at 3am and my upstairs neighbor would be up until midnight remodelling his apartment. He was a cop. So I didn't want to call the law. His dad was the landlord. I reluctantly complained. He told me his son worked all day, he had to do his construction at night. I could've raised hell. I could've got the law involved. But to what end? Having neighbor drama? Making my own landlord hate me? So I moved out. To a house. Haha.
I really hope I can be in a house again someday. Apartment living is actual Hell. I wish they were never invented. I'd rather live in a van or a shack, haha. Unfortunately my partner doesn't agree, haha.

Welp, lady is just hella annoying so I'm moving to my next plan of action, going with Scott to work. Which is a great idea right now, because we have no fridge. gonk So I can get breakfast.
It started happening earlier. 8am, 7:30. I think she's just insane at this point. I finally went and talked to her. She swore it's not her slamming doors. The way this apt is set up, she's the only one attached to us. xd I just said okay, apologized for bothering her and went back home. Few minutes later she comes up and says I want you to hear this. I go into her house and she closes her kitchen door, normally. She asks, "That's loud isn't it?" I say yes. She says, I think maybe it is me making the noise. xd So I realize there's not much she can do about that one. And she's got a cat living in the kitchen that tears up her walls. So she has to keep the door closed. Speaking of walls, she's got no wallpaper and no floors! So any noise is echoing. This woman has really been doing construction for 4 months. She apologized for the noise. For two days it was amazing. And now it's right back to the way it was before. Good grief.
We already want to move, cause we can't have pets here. I'm going back home to America soon. Hopefully when I come back to Scotland, we can move out of this place. Until then it's headphones and spending time out of the house, ha.
I think I'm gonna move this to rants later. I was hoping it would be positive but it's not ending up that way. xd I'm having some mean thoughts about an old lady, haha.

So it's becoming like FBI surveillance at this point. Clocked her as early as 7am and as late as 11pm. ninja
I'm having fun telling this story, even if nobody is reading..... xd
YOU KNOW WHAT TIME THAT IS??? From 7-11 there is no noise ordinance.
Exactly 7am and exactly 11pm on the dot are her earliest and latest times. She's been through this before. The story of her leaving her last apt because it was "too big" is complete BS. Who believes that? Her last neighbors probably ran her off!
This biznatch is crazy! She's doing it on purpose, and I'm convinced. I forgot to mention. During her denial convo, she blamed it on the guy next to her. The way this apt is set up, we are not attached to him, not one inch of his place touches ours. I told her that too.
WELL the plot has thickened. She randomly told us that the guy next to her was dumping large trash next to the dumpster. We couldn't care less. But then we got a letter in the mail saying whoever is putting large trash next to the dumpster needs to stop. IT'S HER!!!! IT'S HER FLOOR!!! I saw her!! xp So she tried to blame this dude for two different things that she's actually the one doing.
You can't reason with people like her. She's lying to our faces. She probably thinks all of this is hilarious. But THANK GAWD she went back to work. PEACE after her morning door slams. xp
We be moving when I come back with some money saved. xd
