Personality: Myth is a lot, to say the least. He’s skittish and often comes off as a spoiled city boy who doesn’t like to get his feet too dirty in whatever he does. While this is correct to a certain degree, the onion goes far deeper than that. Myth is an anxious type, being one to look over his shoulder rather than trust his surroundings. As a result, he’s quick to slip into a lost temper or a sort of meek skittishness as a means of defense. He cares a lot underneath those thick mental walls, though. In a world where trusting means getting hurt, Myth feels like opening up to that degree is impossible.
History: A water-type enthusiast born in Lavaridge, Myth was a bit of an oddball from the get-go. He spent his days often finding more comfort in the oceans than the lands he walked upon. Thus, it was only natural that Myth take up marine biology studies in the field at Slateport, then Lilycove a few years later once his research had gotten far enough. Being an outcast with an affinity for the sea, Myth was perfect grunt fodder for Team Aqua. The tales of an organization that was bent on creating a better world for ocean-dwellers felt too good to be true almost, so Myth signed up almost instantly! He served as a grunt for years, climbing up the ranks bit by bit to the point of obtaining a scientist role. After seeing just what Team Aqua had in mind for the future though, that being a life with zero land whatsoever, Myth jumped ship and left everything behind— His pokemon, the friends he had made, and his career.
He went undercover for a few years, rediscovering himself and rekindling a lost passion for dance and theatre. He’s recently reemerged from hiding though, hoping to start a new life for himself away from Team Aqua. Old habits die hard though, and Myth can’t help but wonder if Team Aqua was right, after all.
