ใ€Œ Nancy Stewart ใ€
Feet down on the ground but my head is still in the clouds...

Mood: Overwhelmed & Confused
Where: Nurse Office -> Kitchen
With: Alone.

t was a high pitched ringing that would awake Nancy from her very uncomfortable slumber. Green eyes fluttered open and were immediately darting around to try to read the situation. What had just happened? Where was she? What was going on?

Nancy sat up to see that she was left on one of the infirmary beds in the nurseโ€™s office. Her hand glided across the white sheet that had been carefully placed over her. It didnโ€™t take long before panic began to set in, if Nancy was here with the nurse, then who was taking care of the catering?! She glanced around for any sign of life, a nurse must be somewhere right? She couldnโ€™t stay long.

Soon enough a body would emerge from behind a pale curtain, the nurse, who was pleasantly surprised to see Nancy already up and eager, quickly broke the silence with โ€œNancy, please calm down, you need to rest. You had fainted in the kitchen earlier, it mustโ€™ve been from the stress of the formal right?โ€

Bless this nurse, she really tried to convince Nancy to stay put and rest. But this caterer was never the one to sit back on an important job.

โ€œIf Iโ€™m not in the kitchen the administration is going to MURDER me. And then youโ€™ll have a real issue on your hands!โ€

She hopped out of the bed and even though she struggled to regain balance, she quickly darted towards the door.

โ€œN-Nancy! You canโ€™t just leave!!โ€

It was no use.

~~~
The hallways were barren and Nancyโ€™s running footsteps echoed as she ran back towards the kitchen. Her mind was running questions, just how long was she knocked out for? Her memories were foggy, the face of a stranger kept appearing but Nancy didnโ€™t know why. Blue eyes and brown hair were the only things she could make out, but the more she tried to remember her head began to hurt.
Shaking off the small headache, Nancy needed to focus on what was really important, figure out what in the world happened to the fruit she was cutting!
~~~

The kitchen doors flung open, and to Nancyโ€™s relief, there was no one in sight. It seemed like time had held still as everything she laid out earlier was untouched. Everything except for the food cart which had half of the fruit she completed.

โ€œDid someone take it?...โ€

If she was lucky, ALL of the fruit on that cart was presentable. Even though she could continue her fruit cutting right here and now, Nancy knew she needed a status update.

She only prayed that there wasnโ€™t a Rathmore upset with her at that moment.

~~~
There were a good amount of students loitering in the hallway outside the main event hall. Nancy felt out of place as she dodged the beautifully dressed bodies, looking as far as she could to spot out the food tables. This proved to be a challenge as there were too many students.
Pushing her way through the crowds, Nancy paused to admire the decorations that adorned the event hall. The lights glistening and reflecting off all the surfaces made it seem like stars were scattered everywhere. It was an amazing sight that enthralled Nancy, her eyes wide and enamored with it all.
She slowly stepped out further into the hall, most that saw her moved out of her way, assuming she was a worker.
Then it happened.
It started as a small rumble, one that most dancers would not have noticed, then it was a violent shake that everyone could feel. The ground began to rumble, its shake forcing all of the tables and decorations to shuffle. Glasses, stands and other smaller objects begin to topple over, crashing onto the floor.
After a few moments of violent shaking, a crack rips through the center of the dancefloor. One would think that this crack was a product of the earthquake, but the cracks moved and curved, creating a large symbol. As the symbol was drawn on the ground, high winds violently erupt from the cracks, causing what seemed to be a windstorm growing in the middle of the event hall. Windows and doors fling open, weak to the winds that are pushing them. Those who are unlucky stood nearby windows that couldnโ€™t withstand the pressure at all, causing them to smash. Glass shards fly, but quickly are carried out by the winds.
The symbol begins to glow. It glows a hellish red that begins to luminate and open a portal right in the middle of the hall. The light glows brighter as the tremors and gusts of wind die down. The light is nearly blinding, but suddenly all attention on this glow changes to the single black paw that reaches out from the portal. Sharp claws grasp onto the floor, leaving deep scratch marks on the tile.
Itโ€™s all silent.
Then the demons began to appear. Dozens of hellhounds escape from this portal, some pouncing on nearby students, others running out of the hall itself. No matter their actions, you know that these dogs are dangerous. The silence that fell the event before was now replaced with screaming and cries for help.
Nancy had only noticed the portal once the winds had died down. Since the windstorm caused some of the decorations to break, some glass shattered and forced her to duck down, shutting her eyes out of fear.
Through her closed eyes she could still see the burning red glow of the portal, and as she opened her eyes, Nancy was met face to face with a growling demon. The dog gave Nancy little mercy as it bared its sharp teeth, soon to pounce on the poor caterer.
The only luck that Nancy would share, if she could, was that because the demon's claws and teeth were so sharp, her life ended just as quickly. The dog's jaw pierced through her thin neck, Nancyโ€™s view blocked from the gushes of her own blood spewing from the demons' hold on her. She couldnโ€™t even cry out as the demon then snapped her neck bones in the next second.
With enough shakes, the demon had no struggle in separating Nancyโ€™s head from her body. The hellhound took pleasure in holding her head in between its teeth, running off towards an exit. Nancyโ€™s body was left behind, blood continuing to leak out where her head should have been.
For Yanis and Luna:
A hellhound rushes through the forest, snow flying past as it sniffs out a familiar scent of blood that it had picked up earlier. Eager to find its new target, the dog approaches a building with a window that had conveniently been left open.
Sticking its head through, it was easy for the demon to spot out two bodies. Its low growl gives the demon a clear introduction to the two, you can see that this dog is not a good pupper.
