Kaida's opponent landed against the wall back first and seemed to be engulfed by the vines, but contrary to what Kaida thought they'd do, they formed a protective wooden barrier around him...

After Kaida's explosive tags were rendered useless as their target had been behind a wall of plant material, a rather large, bulky wooden body emerged from the wall...to sum it up, Kaida's opponent was now in bulky wooden armor that basically provided him all around with a very very thick layer of hard skin.

After he had finished merging from the wall, he began charging towards Kaida. Whether the armor gave him super punching strength or not was anyone's guess...
