tab There are some things you can learn too early in life, and Eudora learned way too much about the real world way too soon. Kidnappings, murders, Santa and the Tooth Fairy not being real. By the time she was 3, Eudora was peering out her apartment window to spot kidnappers before they saw and snatched her up. She can't recall the exact event that warped her view of the world, but she's been waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop for as long as she can remember.
So, she's paranoid. But, it's not her main personality trait, it's not even her second or third. If these traits are trees—and her minor ones shrubbery or other small vegetation—then her paranoia is the roots underground: you can't see them but they're there, an expansive network that connects everything else. Her intrusive thoughts never go farther than the inside of her head but they've carved themselves a cozy little nook. Eudora will be the first to introduce herself, but every stranger is either a thief or already has a poor opinion of her; new activities only have two options: with her maimed or otherwise changed; and, no matter where the spot, she's always in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's exhausting, batting back every worst-case scenario, maybe that's why she sleeps so much and deeply prefers her comfort zone.
Her trust in the world might be shaky but, in contrast, Eudora's confidence in herself is as steady as a rock. Her self-esteem has always been high and, as far as she's concerned, until she actually tries something she's an undiscovered prodigy at it; so, yeah, she can absolutely cross-stitch, never mind the fact she's only ever watched tutorial videos. You could say that her self-confidence is the single untainted tree in the forest that makes up Eudora.
Outside of the paranoia and undeserved ego, Eudora is just a run-of-the-mill budding adult. She's an extraverted introvert: 55% alone time, 45% socializing, someone who drags her feet against change before inevitably running to catch and keep up with it, and green around the gills in everything that doesn't exist inside her bubble, and ignorantly naive about most of it. She hates admitting when she's wrong and places sentimental value on practically everything that comes into her possession.

tab Eudora Jones is the only child of Patrick and Zahra Jones, now Zahra Newkirk, and was born and raised in bustling Castelia City until the year she turned 13 following her parents' divorce. Up until then, Eudora's childhood was average, almost boringly so, despite her overcautiousness; her Daddy boasts that his daughter didn't stop hiding behind his leg until she was 6. Eudora grew up loved and well cared for, and even with her parents' busy schedule, her momma was a pediatrician and daddy a business analyst, her paternal grandparents were just a phone call away. Life at home was great, so as her 10th birthday started creeping closer and talk of a 'trainer adventure' was brought up, she shut that down real quick; she had it good, why would she trade that away for a few weeks away from her parents and in the "real world"?
So, she didn't go on a pokemon journey and the following year her parents divorced and her momma moved back home to Undella Town; life changed even after she'd made it perfectly clear things were perfect the way they were. Eudora fought the transition and fought it hard, but after 2 years of counseling and a year of family counseling, she adapted. She spent the school year with her daddy and summers with her momma and after graduating she moved in with her momma and Mimi.
And that's how she's spent the past 5 years, enjoying the sunshine and smell of sea salt and helping to run the family watersport rental business. Daddy remarried 2 years ago and Eudora isn't a fan of his new wife but, other than that, she's pretty content with life. Of course, it's once you've relaxed and grown roots that life decides to shake things up.

tabSINGING She'd probably go professional if she put in the hours, says Eudora. She can sing a pretty tune in a, usually pleasant, "high alto", or mezzo-sopprano.
