The Meteor Shower (3) : It wouldn’t be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. This time of year is unnaturally clear and it’s incredibly easy to see the stars. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be a whole rainbow of colors. The scientists have reported that it’s just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there’s something undeniably magical about it.

Morpheus was just sitting on a building watching the rainbow of shooting stars he had heard what science said but he knew better Destiny City was just a strange magical place that was all there was to it. He wasn't looking for trouble, he wasn't really looking for anything that night. Just watching the stars fall. He wondered if it was hiding something else. He had heard rumors that there were new senshi in the city that were strange indeed. He hadn't met any of them himself so he couldn't be sure it was true. It didn't really matter anyway they had nothing to do with him.
Merrick didn't get out much without his brother. It almost felt like he was naked without the other. How odd.
Either way, Merrick didn't want to miss this meteor shower. Rumors had it that it was going to be spectacular, and he wanted to see it. He'd definitely get inspiration from it.
So why did he power up to view this?
Well, it gave him more speed and jumping capabilities to get into places that had a much better vantage point. That's just what he did, too. He climbed on top of the tallest building he could find in the darkest area of the city so he could look at it better. The senshi was still too new to realize what kind of energy he'd picked up on, also he'd never met anyone other than a White Moon senshi, so he didn't act like he was hesitating or anything.
"Oi," he called out, seeing the other there. "You here to watch nature's best show too?"
Without anyone inviting him, Merrick plopped himself down next to the other, a wide grin on his face.

Morpheus socked his eyebrow at the white moon that had just joined him, it was strange indeed. "Do you have some unhealthy habits?" He asked after all he sensed that the senshi wasn't as powerful as he was. He could be mistaken but he was pretty sure he had a white moon basic sit down next to a super dark mirror. His life lived up to his sphere it was always sureal. Nothing was ever normal in his life. He didn't stand up. He had no reason to hurt the senshi if they didn't try to hurt him.
Morpheus was not a violent sort, he didn't mind hitting the senshi up side his head if he did something stupid, being foolish in this city was a good way to end up dead. He knew from experience. You had to consider your moves before you made them. He looked over at them waiting for their answer and ready to teach them a lesson if he needed to. After all, being beaten to a pulp by a stronger person wasn't what he considered fun and he didn't wish it on any faction. "So well then?"
"Dude, patience is a virtue." Merrick met his stare with his own flat expression before rolling his eyes. "You can't ask a question and then two seconds later get impatient when they haven't responded." Those teal eyes looked back up to the sky and a hand moved to push his bangs out of his face before grinning up at all the pretty colors.
"To answer your question, though? Yeah. Everyone does. What of it?"
Merrick didn't look at the other as he talked, just staring up at the pretty light show, his hands resting on his thighs.

Morpheus cocked his eyebrow once more at the cocky senshi and blew his cinders on to him without any warning if they wanted to be foolish and put themselves at risk then he would teach them to be more careful than to sit down next to a dark mirror court member and treat each other like old friends. He had no friends and he was fine with that. He would feel perhaps a little bad if he heard of this senshi's life being lost for being stupid or perhaps he would feel nothing at all. It was hard to say with him these days.
Sailor Scout Attack: Morpheus' Cinders Range: 6~-8', dependent on wind conditions Duration: 30 seconds Use Count: Useable 3x without energy replenishment. Miss Chance: Morpheus' attack can miss based on wind blowing the dust in the wrong direction, a character jumping out of the way, or shutting their eyes / shielding the face. Effect: Morpheus can either wipe his forehead or touch the dust-laden ribbon of his uniform to summon a handful of soot. He then throws it toward the target (hence the variability on range), and if it strikes them in the eyes or face, the attack will take hold. It does not sting the eyes as one would expect of soot. From then on, the afflicted character will interpret the world with blended elements of stream of consciousness / dreaming. These elements are entirely up to the player - for example, they may see someone's face taper into a trombone, or watch a battle taking place upon a lake that's dripping upward onto the clouds, or that Destiny City has become a sphere encasing the entire battle, and looking upward reveals the rooftops of buildings on the other side. Any blended elements are free reign here - sights, sounds, tastes, feelings, and smells are all viably manipulable components in Morpheus' attack.
However, this magic can only augment parts of people - it cannot change the whole.
The embers landed on the side of his face and got into one of his eyes. He hissed at the sudden intrusions and started rubbing at his eye in an annoyed fashion.
"Dude, what the hell?!"
He scrambled to stand up and slowly opened his eyes. When he did, Merrick blinked a few times. Everything was blending together. It was like someone was taking a watercolor brush and painting over everything he looked at. Honestly, it was so pretty but off-putting at the same time.
"What did you do to me?"
Oh God, he sounded like he was underwater. He could see the colors of his words being painted like one of the shooting stars.

Morpheus smirked and then said "Merely teaching you a lesson, didn't your mother ever tell you not to trust strangers." He rushed forward and attempted to punch the senshi in the stomach while he was distracted. Then he jumped back and waited to see what they would do next. Would they get serious or would they keep acting like a child who wanted to play with the snake in the grass, not understanding that the snake could very well bite them and kill them with its poison? He was curious to see how this would turn out.
With the punch landing squarely in his stomach while he couldn't exactly make out what was real and what was not was a d**k move. He wheezed and doubled over, grabbing his stomach.
He'd come out here for a good time and now he was getting attacked. Physically attacked by someone out of the blue.
The senshi staggered backward, away from the other, until he was far enough away that he wouldn't be touched just by swinging. When he could breathe again, Merrick stood back up and locked eyes with the other.
"You know, I never had to worry about it. Grew up in a neighborhood that was like family." Merrick drew himself up as tall as he could, and spoke his powers. "Watching eyes."
Watching eyes Breathing in a deep breath, then out, a dark blue fog escapes Merrick's mouth and nose. Anyone within a three foot radius of this fog suddenly feels a prickle running up their spine. Something akin to them being watched from the shadows. The target also becomes suspicious of everything and everyone around them.
Duration: 25 seconds Radius: 5ft Times used in battle: 3

The strange sensation only served to make Morpheus want to attack the senshi more since he didn't want to get attacked by several senshi coming to the aid of this foolish one. He cried out "Morpheus Smoke" He blew it in the senshi's direction and was ready to get out of here he didn't want to be attacked again by anyone higher than a super senshi.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Morpheus' Smoke Range: 6~-8', dependent on wind conditions Duration: 40 seconds Use Count: Useable 3x without energy replenishment. Miss Chance: Morpheus' attack can miss based on wind blowing the smoke in the wrong direction, a character jumping out of the way, or shutting their eyes / shielding the face. Effect: Morpheus can either wipe his forehead or touch the dust-laden ribbon of his uniform to summon a handful of soot. He then blows it toward the target (hence the variability on range), and if it is ingested by the target, the attack will take hold. It does not sting the eyes as one would expect of smoke.
This attack can affect people on a whole - characters may see people as something entirely different, like whales floating on balloons, or household furniture, or even as other significant figures in their lives.
Once again he had stuff blown in his eyes that made him feel like he was lucid dreaming. Blinking did nothing to clear it up. Merrick rubbed his eyes and growled in frustration. That weird energy he felt was leaving.
So what, he'd attack and run when he retaliated? Oh, he had a bone to pick with that man if he ever saw him again.
When that weird magic finally left him, Merrick saw no one before him and shook his head.
"COWARD!" He screamed out into the night.
Now he had to go ask someone about what the hell just happened to him.

Morpheus didn't stick around long enough to chat with the white moon any further since their power had made him feel watched and jumpy. He took his chance to get away from the foolish white moon so he could fight another day it was not the coward's way out at all. It was strategic.
