Acrasia was reading. Again. She sat on a chair in the corner of the room, reading a nondescript book apparently title-less. Nell and Eli crouched behind furniture, plotting. They had already determined that throwing small things at her--pennies, marbles, paperclips--would only irritate her, and not provoke the reaction they wanted.

(Sorry tis short. I'm inarticulate today.)

"Eek! Lukus, what are you doing! She can't come in!" -Kioshi had shrieked in blant terror. Sometimes she could not believe the innocent ignorance of her brother... Lukus seemed so intellegent, yet at times he acted as if he were a fool, an idiot! With the arrival of Pocahontas the nim-wit behavior had increased ten fold, forcing Kioshi to constantly worry about petty things. In the case of he day, her fear had come true: Lukus had brough Pocahontas with him to the center! The rather large dog was standing right next to her brother, held on a very small leash intended to keep her close so that Lukus would not be at a distance when being led about. That was the one good thing about Pocahontas: She could lead Lukus. She could be his eyes when his were worthless and unworking.-

"She won't hurt anyone." -Lukus had stated with great ease as he passed through the doors, Pocahontas leading the way, as if knowing exactly what she was suppose to do. She was a wise dog, one of equal, if not superior, intellegence to a human. She was an excellent escourt! Without a word, Lukus had moved further into the room, pausing his footsteps. Pocahontas had done the same, their minds joined for a moment.-

-Kioshi, for a moment, had to think 'Awwww, they're cute!', for the girl inside of her called for it. Regardless, she had a feeling pets were not wildly accepted within the Center. If they were, she had never heard of such a thing. Then again, her visits to the place seemed limited. she could recall very few times she'd gone. Silently, she shook her head. Her tail began to swish as her ears drooped unhappily. She hoped no one would say anything about Pocahontas. The last thing she wanted was to witness a conflict over whether or not it were alright for Lukus to have the dog with him in the building! She blinked, giving the scenery a good glance. Without much effort those brilliant eyes she owned fell upon a figure sitting upon a chair, reading a book of some sort. Her ears perked up, the social nature within her taking hold. A wild grin was slapped onto her face as she gave a quick wave, calling out,- "Hello!"

Nell, in mid gesture, squeaked and jumped up. Acrasia looked up warily, her face creasing into a smile. "Hey." She closed her book, glaring at her siblings as they emerged from behind furniture, Elias grinning toothily and rushing forward with Nell. The latter beamed, "Your dog is so cute! What's her name?" She asked, trundling out directly to the dog without another word, and holding out a tentative hand.

Acrasia sighed, getting up and trotting over toward them, raising a hand in greeting, the other clasping the book toward her. Elias took the opportunity to snatch it, and she scowled at him, crossing her arms over her chest. "This is Nell." Acrasia explained, smiling tiredly. "She's the one who speaks without thinking, although Eli does that too." She gestured toward the other, who smirked at her. "An' I'm Acrasia." Her fingers played with a tendril of hair lazily. "Who're you all? And...your dog is very cute."

-Lukus smiled coyly at the words that rang in his ears. He wouldn't know whether or not his dog was cute. He assumed she was beautiful, though. Her fur felt incredibly soft, and she was kind. Both traits told Lukus she was possibly very fine looking. In a way, he imagined her being slender, elegant, and pure. However, his idea of her, in reality, was farfetched. Certainly, the dog was fine looking, but she was not as beautiful as his mind attempted to depict her for him.- "Thanks." -He spoke, sounding all too happy for the comment to have been uttered. Sluggishly, he loosened his grip on the leash and moved his hand about to find the back of the dog. Lightly, his fingers stroked the fur, taking in the texture. His dog. His.- "Her name's Pocahontas." -He spoke with pride, eyes lacking pupils glittering with incredible glee.-

-Kioshi had given a friendly grin as the greeting and introductions were given. A glance was given to each of the indivisuals in the room. Three of them in all, all appearing slightly different to her. she rubbed her arm, hesitating before answering the question of who they were...- "I'm Kioshi." -She nodded before motioning to Lukus with her head.- "And that's my little brother, Lukus." -Her gaze had shifted from Lukus to Acrasia, then to Nell, and finally Elias. She was observing them, registering their faces...-

"You're welcome." Nell's fingers stretched out to stroke Pocahontas' fur. "Pocahontas." She repeated the name, listening to the way the syllables rolled off Lukus' tongue. "And Lukus." She held out the hand uncertainly to him. "Good to meet you." She smiled then to Kioshi. Elias knelt with her toward the dog, but grinned up at him and nodded politely to Kioshi. "That's a nice name." He observed absently, and rose to his feet, shifting his weight uncertainly from foot to foot.

"Good to meet you. Kioshi and Lukus." Acrasia said. Her voice was soft, undecided. She observed the two, contrasting Kioshi's independence to Lukus' apparent reliance on the dog Pocahontas. They were different, she determined, individual to themselves. She clasped her hands behind her back, bowing her head to them lightly, unconsciously, as she always did. The fine details of their faces etched slowly into her memory. "So!" She interrupted the silence abruptly. Nell and Elias looked at her. "How're you?" She asked, awkward.

-Lukus, of course, had known nothing of the extended hand. He had been still, eyes focused on some location where nothing was really located. Of course, that was simply 'vision focus' as one may have refered to it. His mental focus was, obviously, attached to the band of youth he and Kioshi had just encountered... In a way, he was reminded of the girl he met with the harpy egg... Ah, he wondered if he would ever see her again. She had been intriguing, what with the awkward sibling.

The smile had remained on his face as Lukus shifted himself a little. The leash was still held tightly, an abstract fear of letting it go having been burried in his mind over a short amount of time.- "It's nice to meet all of you, too." -It was new. It seemed as if they hardly ever encounter new indivisuals. Halley often spoke of Sere, and he acted like a wild idiot at times when doing so, raving about how much he enjoyed seeing her, and how neat she was... Friends sounded like a glorious luxury, and they were a luxury he didn't have. Even Kioshi spoke of members at dance class who she was well aquainted with! Then again, of all people, he knew Kioshi would have been close to someone or another. The girl had grown good with words, considering her rather long epidemic of third person speech, which he hardly recalled.-

-Pocahontas had let out a loud yawn, sniffing at Nell as the petting had occured. Her ears had perked foward curiously, and her tail had started nodding. A movement was made of her body as she leaned slightly, curiosity diving into her mind. The building smelled funny, and so did the girl.-

-Kioshi rubbed her arm in a giddy fashion, ears picking up the soft words with ease. After all, they were rather good ears for hearing. A near silent, agreed, was uttered before a fresh batch of silence, and then a new question, arose to take her mind's focus and shove it towards locating a proper response. How were they? Such an odd question for a first meeting, but she did not inquire about it.- "Oh, we're good." -She left out slightly tired, and nervous about auditions for a competition in dance. Oh, she was beyond nervous for that! Even if the auditions were a decent amount of time away they still made her nervous.-

-Lukus had nodded in agreement to Kioshi's statement. They were good. They were, which excluded many things. Like his sister, he too left out details, particularly about tiredness and the incredible chaos that had begun making itself comfortable at the Ieeko family home.- "We're fine. How about you?" -He blurted it out as if it were casual conversation.- "Do you come here often?" -He asked, sounding just a tad curious about the answer to the inquiry statements he'd thrown out.-

Nell bobbed her head uncertainly, fingers still lingering at Pocahontas' soft fur, eyes watching Lukus carefully, darting from him to Kioshi. They were quiet. Oddly quiet, like Acrasia when she was angry or tired, or not particularly spirited, but even Acrasia seemed unsure of what to say or do. She rose to her feet, smiling as Pocahontas sniffed her outstretched fingers.

Elias nodded abruptly, sticking his hands in his pockets and fidgetting. (sp?) He noticed Kioshi rubbing her arm and watched her face for a moment, looking from her to Lukus. He wondered, was her arm sore or injured, why she rubbed it? He thought to ask, but didn't. None of his business, as Acrasia or even Kirea sometimes would say, not to pry into other's personal lives.

"I'm good too." Acrasia nodded, looking to her siblings. "Yeah." Elias agreed quickly. "Me too." Nell shrugged. "Just peachy." She grinned. They too left out things, Acrasia tired from babysitting Ravyn, their little sibling, who always wanted the same book being read to her, Nell's frustration and still resentment toward her elder sister, who had grown up long before her, and Elias, who was not leaving much out, tired as usual, but otherwise, good.

"Not really." He said, shrugging. "This's our first time here in...what? A few months? Raisa used to come here quite a bit, but then Mom got busy and couldn't take us anymore, and stuff."

And stuff. Oh, how eloquent. Nell smirked at him, and he chided himself, knowing that some comment would probably arise from his response. To his surprise, Acrasia merely nodded, and Nell just remained smirking.

-Kioshi had listened to each response, and her ears had remained erect, unmoving. For the longest amount of time she just kept quiet, as if having to focus on understanding. Her thought entered her mind for a moment. Kioshi's glad to hear, her mind had echoed as a comment she could possibly make. However, the sudden third person thought had been a slap in the face, and a reminder of what was still haunting her. She would never forget youth.

Her smile widened a bit, a firm nod being delivered as she released her arm, still a bit shifty and giddy. It was nature for her. She was giddy, and that was the end of that!

The wolf demon blinked at the word 'stuff'. It had seemed so casual, normal, which was a fine sound to her. She enjoyed such simple words, statements. They were fine, unlike the terms her brothers sometimes used, and sometimes never used. Speaking was an on and off thing for Kioshi and some of her siblings. Kouji and Louis, really... Lukus would talk up a storm if given the chance, and Halley was just casual, or looking for debate or ways to make himself seem articulate and intellectual. At least, that was the way they all acted around her, the only girl within the house. Her grin augmented.- "First time in a while, huh?" -She chimed, tail swishing a couple of times as the words fluidly left her mouth.- "Same for us, really. We came not that long ago. There wasn't really anyone here, though. Just this girl."

"Sarah." -Lukus stated. He remembered the name... The girl with the harpy egg. The one he'd frightened when he'd run into the couch. The one he'd enjoyed speaking to.-

-Kioshi had blinked at Lukus' jumping in on her sentance. She did not grow angry, for it had not truly annoyed her.-

"That happens." Nell spoke suddenly. "Er...I mean the place being either very busy or very empty." She felt awkward, inarticulate, and she didn't enjoy the feeling. "It's--ah..."

"We get it, Nellie." Elias grinned at her. "Sarah...I don't know her. D'you guys know her?" He looked over at his sisters. Acrasia shook her head softly; Nell just shrugged. "Don't think so."

She was being decidedly vocal that day. Not that Nell was ever quiet, more thoughtful. She could be manipulative, only using words to project the point of view she wanted the other to see--although today's conversations seemed far more docile and not complex enough to require intense thought on Nell's part.

Acrasia was typically more biting or acerbic, but babysitting Ravyn and the others had softened her harsh demeanor slightly. Once cold, cruel, and unfriendly, she now liked to maintain a coolly aloof, sarcastic approach which appeared to be failing her that day.

Elias was the quiet one that day--he was usually far more talkative, sometimes to the point of being obnoxious, showing off when he could, and pretending he knew everything, or offering candy to someone. He carried around a constant supply of lollypops and sugary sweets.

"--want a piece of candy?" Elias asked suddenly. "I just remembered, I have some chocolate--and Nellie gets hyper anyway and...do you guys want some?" He held out a few small pieces of chocolate carefully wrapped in colorful tin foil.
