Tatsu she'll be. For some reason she, and maybe her whole family was exiled from Japan. So traveling musicians they become until they each found a place they wanted to make their home. But Mari kept traveling all over world, learning different languages, music, and cultures. As for where she starts her opera career, hadn't decided yet. Debating having her performing in the first production of Marriage of Figaro.

❛×▮Gina Haru is a tatsu, a dragon yokai from Japan.

❛×▮ Gina Haru is a tatsu, a dragon yokai from Japan. She has been re-inventing herself every twenty-five years or so she could stay on the opera scene with two to three years break, changing her human looks so no one would recognized her where ever she went to perform at next. Gina Haru would change what voice range she would sing each time so she wasn't performing with the same voice range back to back.
The first opera she performed in was in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. She play the leading female role, Susanna, in 1786. How she loved performing that opera as it was making fun at the nobility..... Somewhat one way she was able to vent her frustration of the higher nobility that had exiled her own family that had been just a step lower in nobility. It was due to a possible marriage for Gina Haru that had been the issue. Her father had not approved of it due to some of that family being tanukis. They left Japan, never to return while that family was in power.

Then in 1816, or near that time, she was in Germany as Ivonette Schwarz, a mezzo soprano, at the Berlin Opera House. While she was there, Ivonette met a vampire named Chris Vonheimer. They became good friends and some wondered if they were more than friends... Only friends though, and if it hadn't been for Chris rescuing her from some villainous foes... He wouldn't know what she truly is. So far, he's the only person she felt that she trusted to keep her true form a secret.
When she decided to leave Germany in 1832, she told him where she was going on the off chance he wanted travel with her. In the end they went their separate ways Before they parted ways, she gave him one of her tatsu scales that she fashioned into a charm and placed it on a thin but long silver chain. The scale charm would protect him from some magics that were out there. Also, Ivonette could find him anywhere in the world as long he had it on his person. He gave her a gift as well and she kept it safe all this time.
