In the moons that followed, Tirzah went home a lot less. She was most often found at Rho's alcove, and so was Mena. They hadn't really talked about it, but they had formed sort of a triad, spending more time as a group of three and taking care of one another. Her heart was full. Mena seemed like he was warming up to her more, no longer flinching and blushing when she so much as ruffled his hair. One night when Rho was bathing, they had worked out a bit of a schedule, ensuring that both of them got enough one-on-one time with Rho. They'd done it in secret because they were both more practical than dear Rho, who would have not wanted to talk about it and then it would've just been awkward. Tirzah wished that she and Mena got more time alone together, as she wanted to get to know him better, but where she understood this arrangement as a triad, she suspected Mena didn't share that view, and instead thought of them as co-partners with Rho. Whatever helped him sleep at night, she guessed. As for Rho...well, Tirzah wished he would be a little more open with his own feelings, but she guessed that was a work in progress too.
Menahem felt like he was floating most days. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think he'd end up in any kind of romantic relationship with Rho, and here he was. And sure, he would prefer not to be "sharing", he was slowly coming around to the idea of Tirzah. After all, it had been her kindness and stubbornness that had gotten them where they were, and Mena wouldn't forget that. Besides, she was great fun to be around, even if she did keep trying to flirt with him. He was getting desperate, though, to know what Rho was thinking about all this, but Mena didn't dare bring it up lest this whole fantasy come crashing down around his antlers.
Today, though, might have to be the day as there was something he urgently needed to talk through with Rho and Tirzah. He'd had the breakfast shift today with Sven, who had been asking some awfully pointed questions. The man was not at all subtle even when he thought he was. Mena dropped by his alcove to wash up and grab a few things, then went to Rho's alcove even though he knew they wouldn't be there. Rho and Tirzah would still be in the fields for hours yet. Stressed out, Mena tidied the whole alcove, then made dinner to be ready for when Rho and Tirzah got back.

Rho had to say he was pretty content with life right now. Between his family coming around and accepting Tirzah, to their continued and evolving relationship, it was good. Good enough that Rho was getting a bit more bold with how he interacted with his pair of lovers, be it a bit more PDA with Tirzah or some more intimate sorts of trolling with Mena. He'd even gotten more comfortable participating in... strenuous activity... with just the homie. No homo of course. He was riding the high of life and not really thinking much of it.
He was coming back from a long day in the fields and in much need of a shower when he walked into an impeccably clean alcove - it practically smelled of soaps, whatever it was that was on the stove, and smoke from the firewood to cook it. "Yo, sup cutie, did we have a thing planned tonight? Must have forgot." He leisurely walked on over and draped an arm over Mena's shoulder before whispering in his ear. "Wanna join me in the shower, maybe get a load off?"

Menahem was almost powerless to resist the invitation. He giggled and put his arm around Rho's waist, resting his hand on his hip. "Next time, love," he murmured back. "Supper will be ready soon and I suspeeeeeect that it'll burn if I join you." He took a deep breath. "I think I'm too jittery besides."
Tirzah appeared a few moments later. She got off the same time as Rho but he had to come all the way in from the fields, where she didn't. So usually she stopped by her own alcove to shower before coming here. Her hair was still damp and loose as she entered without knocking, and she smelled sweet and clean. She snickered seeing the two men together all wrapped around each other. "Oh hello Mena," she said breezing. "Wasn't expecting you tonight! How was work? And are you cooking? It smells like ambrosia in here."

Rho shrugged nonchalantly as Mena turned down his advances - he wasn't gonna force the issue - then sighed in a theatrical manner, "Suit yourself." He was about to pull off and away when Tirzah let herself in, to which he offered a lazy sort of wave with the arm still draped on Mena. "Hey there babe - that post-shower look of yours lookin' fine as always."
He then glanced over at Mena and smirked in a surely-annoying way as he whispered, "Y'know, I'm sure Tirzah would watch the stove if you asked," before pulling back and stretching his arms over his head. "Gimme a bit, I'm still dirty af. Lemme go shower real quick." He gave a half-hearted peace sign as he excused himself to go get clean.

Tirzah made a little kissy face at Rho at the compliment. After he left, she turned to Menahem. "Did you....clean Rho's alcove?"
Mena blushed. "I've had a lot on my mind. And my place is already tidy. I clean when I'm stressed." He shrugged.
"Well next time you get stressed come to my place," she joked with a little chuckle. "What's making you stressed, hon? Hard day at work?"
"It's, uh, it's complicated. I'll talk about it once we're sitting down to dinner. I need his input too," he said, hooking his thumb in the direction of the bathroom.
"Mmkay," said Tirzah. "But in the meantime try not to get so wound up. You can't do anything about it right this second so try to take your mind off it, OK? Here, can I help with dinner or anything?" She walked toward the kitchen area, grabbing his hand as she passed him.
"Oh, it's no trouble Tirzah, I got it," he demurred as he found himself towed into the kitchen. "Should be finishing up right when he's done with his shower."
"Well then at least tell me about it," said Tirzah.
Once she'd gotten him going, Mena spent the whole time Rho was in the shower chatting to Tirzah about food and cooking. He'd all but forgotten his problems until Rho emerged.

Rho might have internally clicked his tongue when nobody joined him for his shower adventure, but also got over it rather quickly. It honestly didn't take too long to lather up and clean off, so in no time he was back out with a towel loosely over his shoulders and his hair still dripping just a bit.
He helped set the table (if there was anything left for him to do anyways) and leisurely sat in his chair before laying it out. "So what's eating at you? Been a hot minute since I came back to food and such a clean place." He figured the faster they got this over with, the less stress there'd be.
