"Time, heh, right." Rex chuckled, popping the last bite of his lunch in his fanged mouth. "Ever since I came here to the island, time doesn't even seem of significance anymore." Rex rolled the words around in his mouth, they bounced of his teeth and reverberated in his mind. He liked it here, Rex certainly wasn't complaining, though it was hard to adjust to the thought of never leaving. Ever.
Rex would've said goodbye to Billy, but he seemed to leave like he had a mission to do. Rex couldn't get a word in. Thankfully he seemed to have calmed down quite a bit more since the first time they'd met. "Bye Billy..." he mumbled, blatantly too late.
Rex pushed back in his seat, grabbed his plate and stood up, "I'm gonna head out as well, Zach m'man." He nodded to the man across the table and headed to the kitchen to clear his plate. From the door Rex projected, "now you know I'm always here if y'wanna talk." Rex smiled, something he hadn't done in quite some time, "Later, dude." and with that, he pushed the door out of his way and headed off to wherever his legs took him.
