[*] [i]Strategy Games --[/i] In what little free time Elise gets (normally when someone physically forces her to stop working), she enjoys playing strategy games. Chess, Go, Risk, or any physical game is her preferred method though she doesn’t mind open discussions as well This keeps her mind busy and allows her to problem solve in outside of the box ways all in the name of ‘relaxing’. (She hasn’t really gotten into video or online gaming)

This can make her appear overly enthusiastic sometimes, or even high energy, but that is just her way of pumping herself up to do what needs to be done. It will take a good deal of effort and numerous failures for her to give up on something she’s either been assigned or decided to take on. But she will try and see every angle no matter how small or odd before ever admitting defeat!

[*] [b]I’m here for you[/b] [i]Compassionate --[/i] It may not be the best trait for a doctor but Eliza’s heart always there for those around her. She feels for others when they are suffering and longs to help, even if it means just lending an ear over a cup of tea or a beer. It’s a struggle to turn anyone away that comes to her for help even if she may not like that person for other reasons.

She will push herself physically and mentally past the limit if she must in order to complete a task or help someone. All her life people have told her she needed to ‘take care of herself’ and ironically, for a doctor, it’s the last thing she does. This does result in her body hitting burn out every now and then.

[*] [b]There is good in All [/b] [i]Trusting --[/i] Eliza wants to see the good in people and thus, she tends to trust them and take things at face value, outside of medicine of course. She tends to open herself up to getting hurt by others and though it has happened before, she can’t seem to bring herself to see the darkness lurking in some hearts.

Dr. Elise Cousland is a new arrival to the City of Mayet. Having recently accepted a position as a Surgeon at Mayet Memorial Hospital, she is very much looking forward to working with others who believe in providing the best care to any and all who come through those doors. Some may think her an idealist, but Elise never turns anyone away and believes everyone deserves a chance, if they are willing to take it with her. It is not uncommon to find her using her ‘breaks’ or ‘down time’ to assist and work in the ER when they are busy. (A trait that started as far back as when she was old enough to be allowed to volunteer and shadow in the hospitals).
