Hargitt grunted and carefully turned to gather up his bow. It wasn't as if the action required much effort; he'd dropped it relatively close to Elsif just before tackling the man. He may have even forgot he was still there were it not for the occasional groans coming from the other man's prone body.
Despite her warning, he set about gathering a few other things as well. Mainly bits of his earlier kills and...Well, his most recent kills would have to be left behind. He'd ditched them a while ago in favor of making it back to the campsite. Still, he could secure enough meat to last them for a few days, even if it wasn't enough to sell.
Whenever she made her way back to him Hargitt turned, ready to get out of the area, but her words pulled him up short. He placed a hand on her shoulder and turned his concerned eyes her way. "You didn't drag me anywhere; I came on my own. Whatever happened was because of his choices, not yours."
