Hargitt grunted and carefully turned to gather up his bow. It wasn't as if the action required much effort; he'd dropped it relatively close to Elsif just before tackling the man. He may have even forgot he was still there were it not for the occasional groans coming from the other man's prone body.

Despite her warning, he set about gathering a few other things as well. Mainly bits of his earlier kills and...Well, his most recent kills would have to be left behind. He'd ditched them a while ago in favor of making it back to the campsite. Still, he could secure enough meat to last them for a few days, even if it wasn't enough to sell.

Whenever she made her way back to him Hargitt turned, ready to get out of the area, but her words pulled him up short. He placed a hand on her shoulder and turned his concerned eyes her way. "You didn't drag me anywhere; I came on my own. Whatever happened was because of his choices, not yours."

Raja hissed when she saw that Hargitt was getting things other than his bow as she'd instructed but because she'd been busy with other things she couldn't stop him. She could scold him later when they were far away from Elsif.

When he put his hand on her and told her that it wasn't her fault she frowned and looked away. Usually the shifter wasn't all that emotional, blame it on the hit to the back of the head, but the tears gathered at the corners of her eyes said she wasn't quite convinced. With the windling being her best friend and the closest thing she would have to a partner since she didn't trust others to listen, it was difficult for her to see him hurt. Still, she nodded her head and moved so that she could slip one arm around his middle. "Come on, we need to move. If you get too dizzy let me know." Rajani put all her focus on him and getting him somewhere safe to keep from having to think about what she'd just done.

It was hard to see her getting so worked up, but in a way Hargitt knew it was for the best. That was a lesson he'd had to learn himself along the way. Stuffing those feelings away, especially when it was tied to trauma, was only going to make things worse. So, he stayed with her and kept his hand on her shoulder for comfort.

When she moved he worried that she was going to pull away completely and shut down. Instead, she got closer and he had to give a little smile. "Will do." He shifted his hold so that it was wrapped around her instead and he gave her shoulders a squeeze. "I think it's time to get out of Tale."

Usually she'd have agreed with his idea of getting out of Tale. However, this time she cringed a bit. "That'll have to wait. We have another job to do before we can leave." Rajani may have accepted a small job recently.

She shifted her eyes to him to search him for signs of dizziness, doing her best to ignore the pain from her own headache, then offered a slight smile. "Sorry. Its just a small one." She looked forward as they made their getaway so that she wouldn't trip over something. "Where did you want to go after that? I'll go anywhere but Oba." Raja had shared with him the reason behind her not wanting to go to the desert territory so she didn't worry about him asking questions. Hargitt was already aware that she'd been a slave for a wealthy family and that that was where most of her trauma came from.

Hargitt couldn't help groaning. Of course she'd taken a job. Normally he would have been fine with her thinking ahead, might have even done so himself, but they needed to get this wrapped up soon.

There weren't a lot of options for them. They could go to Jauhar for a time, but then Elsif might find them if he ever returned home. It was a risk, but one that they'd originally intended on taking anyway. Matori and Yael were off the map because they would need to pass through Oba to get there which left.... "We could back track and go back to Sauti. There's a port where we could take an airship to Belrea..." It wasn't ideal, but apart from their cities Belrea had plentiful farmlands. The area would be safer, with less risk of seeing her brother, but Hargitt wasn't sure how much he would like air travel...

"We'll discuss it later." Right now they needed to see a healer, and wrap up this job of hers. After that....well, who knew for sure?
