Rex is a braggart. The smallest of compliments goes straight to her head and the slightest bit of opposition is just met with a wall of inflated ego. If you tell her she's the fastest runner you've ever seen she'll just scoff and say she was simply jogging. Tell her she can't jump higher than a toddler, though, and she'll say she totally could if she was actually trying! While some things come naturally to her others she has to work hard at so to Rex any and all compliments are completely justified. She thrives on them, in fact; the more validation she can get for her hard work the more her own self-esteem seems to rely on it.
Just because she's arrogant doesn't necessarily mean that Aerexa tries to be a jerk. If anything she just likes the attention it brings! She's open, honest to an almost painful fault, and if she likes you she'll shower you with the weirdest of treats. Mention that you like the color pink once and until your dying day she'll drop off bits of pink ribbon, a wad of fuzz, a half dead flower, etc. on your door. Lying is both beyond her ability to comprehend and all thought processes. What's the point? Eventually everything is going to catch up to you anyway so just get mad, say you're sorry and move on!
That being said Rex is not a critical thinker. If someone so much as mentions jumping off a cliff she's halfway there, regardless of whether there's a lake below to catch her fall or if said lake happens to have rocks! She's here for a good time, not a long one, and the sheer fact that her thrill seeking mother has managed to live this long has only added to that. In her eyes if she can do it then so can Rex regardless of any stupid warnings tossed her way. One day Azehra is going to take us all anyway, so why not have fun before then?
History: Aerexa is the only daughter of a larger than life huntress. Her mother, Stryxx, left her mark on Chibale by becoming a legend in her own right. Her kills were legendary in both their size and the skill required to take them down, but she soon grew bored of Jauhar's hunting grounds. For years Strixx roamed Tendaji taking down the biggest and baddest of creatures with all her might, boasting her name in any tavern that would have her, and relishing in the attention it brought her. Eventually, she returned to Chibale just in time to catch up with those going to a small island just off the coast of Belrea.
So many were nervous about the trip itself, about the implications and what could happen, but Stryxx? She just laughed it off! The seas were turbulent, the beasties under the waves put up valiant fights and even the untamed land of Chiume was something of a wonder for the huntress. The unknown called her like nothing else! Adventure at every turn, a brand new world to call her own, and an entire continent of earthlings just waiting to bask in her glory! Of course, that would all come after Azehra was strong in her own right and until then Stryxx was content just guarding her.
Then, she started to bloom and the Vandrea were born. Little girls started popping up everywhere! Years had passed after the initial blooms, and in the time between Stryxx had started her adventures once more! But her mind kept returning to Azehra, almost like the goddess was bringing her back so she made up her mind. If Azehra wanted her to be a mother then she was going to be the best mother! Her daughter would be the fastest, the strongest, the most legendary Vandrea of them all!
And so, Aerexa was bloomed. What started out as a little pumpkin of a girl grew to be little more than that. As far as Aishans were concerned she was short; a petite, scrawny kid with a mouth as loud as her mothers. Still, Stryxx wasn't concerned. So her kid was puny, she could work with that! She taught Aerexa to be bold, to not let others walk over her and how to properly carry a weapon that could balance out her size. Aerexa thrived, although, perhaps a little TOO well. She grew arrogant, conceited, and as many of the elders said, into a bully. Still, the pair were happy and she even started to bulk up, despite the fact that she was still petite. A true 'tiny but mighty' type of gal.
