Welcome, come on in, everyone~!

We are hiring some new colorists for Dream Dancers. As things stand, most of our colorists right now are part-timers, given their activity levels. And with two active colorists who are both overloaded, and a couple still in training, we need some more full-time editing colorists.

Interested? Great~!

What we are interested in are people who are friendly and willing to commit to being full-time colorists capable of doing their own edits. If you cannot color at least once every few months or so with us, we're sorry, but this is not the time to apply. We're normally very open to promising rookie colorists and part-time/guest colorists, but with only two full-time editing colorists who are both swamped, we desperately need more to fill in the gap.

If you can commit to full-time work, but cannot edit, feel free to apply as well. There is a chance that we will take on people to run item and familiar shops, too. The familiars are still in the middle of being templated and worked out, but the items are ready to go and being added to as we go~! Sometimes, all it takes to get somewhere in the B/C is to get your first chance in some nice shop somewhere, and if we think you have potential, we could be your first chance. If you can't act as a full-timer, again, please do not apply at this time.

We reserve the right to contact your references; it can help confirm things like work ethic and character, which will help us decide who to hire, and in this instance, ability to produce work at least once every three months is a major consideration.

If we don't get enough offers, we may extend the first round another two weeks.

How many colorists we hire will ultimately be at elfstar89's discretion; we have no set number, so we can take as many or as few as fits our qualifications.

If you are not an editing colorist, but want to apply anyway, and have any questions, please do feel free to ask. I will try to get you a reply, but just in case, if you have a question, please quote elfstar89 (shop owner's main account). These can be as silly and clearly newbie as "How the heck do I color this?!" I won't mind, and will try to answer as helpfully and sincerely as possible. Sometimes, the first step is to ask the stupid, embarrassing questions. I remember asking those questions myself, almost 13.5 years ago. 8'D (Yay, I now have PS Elements 6! Now, how do I color these template-thingies? ^^; )

Requirements
- Friendly and gets along with other staff
- Must be able to work with PSDs
- Preferably be able to edit; if I like your work and you're a real rookie colorist, I will be able to help you
- Stick around; if you don't do any work for three months straight, I will downgrade you to part-timers, which means I start revoking privileges I'll tell you about if I hire you; if you don't do any work for a year straight, I will downgrade you to guests, which means I revoke even more privileges; I am disinclined to fire you unless you make it strictly necessary as a shop owner to do so. And that is not fun for anyone involved. D8
- I do not normally interfere with colorists like this. Staff generally defines me as a nice, generous, understanding employer. RL happens. I get it. I work the annual Dickens Christmas Fair, have a full-time job, am a DM, among other things. Life happens. That said, we still need to achieve functionality as a shop, which is why we're starting to crack down on the fact that we don't have enough colorists who qualify for full-time. ><
- All stages of a pet must be completed before a pet is sold.

Payment
- One free pet of any sort, colored by you
- Flatsale: 100%
- Raffle: 90%
- Auction: 90%
- Custom: 90%
- Breeding: 100%

Form and Entry
- The bulk of your entry should come through in the pet samples (images provided above)
- Please roll yourself a breeding pair and submit their offspring
- You can limit your complexity of your breeding pair by excluding any Stars that you feel are beyond your abilities; but since we also keep an eye out for promising rookies, or promising people with insufficient experience, please feel free to try to challenge yourself~!
- We'd also like to see other stuff in your art portfolio; it gives us a sense of your skills and experience beyond your other samples

Just a note: our shop DOES allow cross-template breeding with other "Stars" (the term for our pets), as well as same-sex breeding. ^^;

If you roll a pairing with breed edits, feel free to exclude them from your entry. Or draw them in, as you see fit. owo Please try to do one to three offspring for each breeding you attempt.

In order:

- Honestly, you don't strictly need to; beyond rolling the parents, you don't need to roll the rest at all, just lemme know which parents you wound up using if you did not opt to roll here.

- Feel free to do whichever feels comfortable! I will peek if you post early, start thinking sooner, but if you'd rather post a more polished entry, that's fine, too. heart
