this world is a replica of the shadows of the real world, reachable only by the forest portal, or the doorways that you can make yourselves. if you know the word, you can turn regular shadows into other worldly portals
you can see everything that happens in the world from here, just appearing as free shadows flitting across the ground. you cannot hear them, you cannot touch them, but you can see the real world where you look like a shadow yourself

Aurus enters the world. "Darkane, I have found the one who can give me the power of the phoenix and one who can assist me in obtaining the epsilon crystals for your lordship." states Aurus cooly. He wanders further into the shadowy world.

Aurus calls out "Darkane, are you able to detect me?!" Aurus wander into the darker parts of the world. "Damn it. Where is Darkane?" mumbles Aurus darkly.

Aurus hears voices in his head. "Master, they will be found soon." a slight pause follows. "Yes, master." says Aurus as he breaks connection and leaves the shade world.

Aurus awakens, startled by a dream. He gets up, streches, and leaves the shade world.

"Master, the mercenary is hesitant". A pause ensues. "Master, it WILL go as planned". Another pause. "Yes, master, it will be done". Aurus closes the connection and begins to wander further into the shade world.

Aurus discovers that there are denizens of this ethereal world. "Greetings, my na.." Aurus is cut off as one of the spirits makes a threatening rush at Aurus. With a simple movement and short incantation, the spirit is abruptly shot away by some sort of mystik wind. Aurus pulls out his blade. The other 4 spirits charge.

The connection is made. "Master, I will do your bidding no more!" Darkane, angry, makes the world crash in around Aurus. Aurus leaves in the nick of time. gonk
