- Video Games -- Ree is a nerd, she didn't stand a chance between her parents. Her mother pretty much raised her playing video games and her favourite series hands down is Legend of Zelda. Her and her mother both played Ocarina of Time seeing who could beat the game first and really video games have always been a big part of their bonding as Ree grew up.
She doesn't really think of herself as more then a casual gamer in terms of how she plays but is very dedicated to certain systems and game series. She probably won't ever stop playing video games even when she's a little old lady.
Cosplay -- A fledgling hobby that Ree is really excited about and looking to improve on. Mostly she's made little accessories here and there and attempted some actual costuming but nothing full blown until now. Her mother is showing her how to do more actual planning of concepts and making her own templates, and she's been trying to study up on how to make more complex accessories and accents but so far it's slow going.
She hopes to one day to make her first full cosplay of either Zelda or true-form Midna from the Legend of Zelda series.
Drawing -- Cosplay and drawing fanart tend to go hand in hand and you have to be able to draw your design in order to make it. She prefers traditional mediums regardless of what she's doing and colored pencils are her best friend. She would, however, love to learn how to draw on like a Cintiq or something similar but she has to save up first.
She does draw outside of planning cosplays pieces, still mostly fanart, but she is learning to draw furries and loves to design tattoo ideas for herself. She's currently designing fursona versions of the Ruby Nights characters, just for fun.
Collecting -- While she has several collections that are constantly growing (figurines, stuffed animals, Pokemon cards just to name a few), Ree is really just a collector at heart. She'll even collect pens, pencils, sketch books, notebooks... she's not a hoarder but she just likes to collect things?? She's good about getting rid of things when she needs to, there's just something about adding things to her collections that fill her with joy.
This does include non-physical things as well, such as images or music files on her computer. She has a very specific fling process for everything though it can be a given that not everything is organized all the time. There is very likely a chance she has some folders some where that are just waiting for her to give them the time of day.
Pros:
- Energizer Rabbit Mode! Energetic -- Ree is a bundle of energy that never seems to stop. She may not always be on the move but she is always doing something. If she's at work she's either making sure the shop is kept clean or products are organized/front facing/where they need to be. She's been known to check on stock or, if she can't leave the counter she'll likely be doodling something. It's not unusual to even see her dancing about just to keep herself busy or work through the current burst of energy building up.
Any time else she just keeps going, always on the move or done with such enthusiasm she tends to blow people over or drive them nuts. She doesn't let people's bad attitudes towards her energy get her down, she just keeps a smile plastered on her face and keeps on moving to her next destination or continuing with what she had been. She's got enough going on that she doesn't need other people trying to drag her down.
Laugh and the world laughs with you... Virtue -- Ree doesn't frown. She doesn't cry, she doesn't get angry, she doesn't even loose her cool. In the face of those around her, even strangers, she'll keep on smiling as if the world will never end. After all that one smile could make a person's day and there's no better feeling then that.
Bubbly, happy and affectionate, being an eternal ray of sun is simply who she is and all the world will ever get to see if she has her way. She doesn't hesitate to make friends or go up and hug a stranger, smiles make the world go round and she's bound to prove it.
Can I help you? Compassion -- While she may not know every one, or be known by everyone, Ree does her best to show everyone compassion. Always one for helping others she tries to become a friend when others need one. She will listen when ears are needed, forgive mistakes when no one else will, Ree just seems to understand the situation and helps in any way she can. Even if it's just by giving you kind words or a shoulder to cry on.
Cons:
- Weep and you weep alone. Emotional Mask -- – No one needs to know that Ree is anything but happy, it's none of their business after all. As such she's learned how to keep other emotions to herself, locked away in a little box in the back of her mind. Few have seen her anger, even less have seen her tears.
She knows this is a dangerous thing to do, after all one can only be so happy and cheerful before they lose control. Of which Ree has done once before and it's something she'd rather not repeat, though she does very little to prevent it. If she wants help in dealing with her negative emotions she'll ask for it, but until then the world should just butt out and leave her to it.
Is there *anything* I can do? People Pleaser -- Fearful of being abandoned or left behind, much as she remembers it from her past, Ree will do almost anything to make people like her. You need some one to run all your stupid errands for you? She's already on it. Do you need someone to cover a shift for you at the last minute? Are you mad and need some one to take your anger out on? She's happy to do any of it as long as she knows you won't leave her.
The only thing she tends to buck back on is if it's something that will ultimately cause someone pain. Or, well, anyone but herself anyway. The only thing she can't stand is the thought of being a part of something that will harm someone physically/emotionally/mentally. She might actually fight you about it.
I said I got this! Proud/Stubborn -- Ree is the type of person who is proud of who she is and what she can do. So proud that she has a very, very bad habit of never asking for help doing something. And no, she won't take your offered help either. She can do it on her own, will do it on her own or she'll die trying. Of course this has lead to a bit of a cocky attitude, and hurt feelings, because she can, and will, do it as her pride won't let her do otherwise.
If she does have to rely on others, which she has had to do in the past, she begrudgingly accepts their help and will do all she can to repay the debt. She refuses to let good deeds and helpful natures go unrepaid.
Notes of interest:
- Devil's Details has it's own little shop cat in the form of Ree's own cat, a little black cat with bright green eyes named Jiji. He wears a cute hot pink harness with white rabbits on it.
Ree lives in her own apartment, a studio, away from her mom. Cat shelves line the walls and there are a couple of cat trees, all for her little soot sprite.
Her favourite animals are rabbits and sea otters/mustalids, and she's been working on designing a sea otter fursona for herself.
Her mother and birth father have been divorced since her first birthday and though her father had been trying to put himself in her life, around fourth grade he stopped contacting her and she's not been able to talk to him since.
She can always be seen with a pair of soft pink head phones with hand made rabbit ears attached to them, based on the cat ears that can be bought for her headphones.
Scent/Perfume: Frosty lilac petals, iris pallida root, orris, violet leaf, white chocolate, coconut, wild lettuce, white sandalwood, white gardenia and oakmoss.

General Appearance
Ree's hair is naturally a dark brown/black that was dyed silver and is growing out to show the black, she's been keeping the silver up-kept though, liking how stark the silver is against the back. Bangs and hair style.
Her eyes are large and expressive, a hazel green in color though they look grey. They fit well on her face, which is round and very baby-faced; making her look younger then she is, with a button nose and full lips. Her skin color is a a golden medium color, which is a medium base color with a gold under tone.
Ree is 5'10", just shy of the promised 6' she was always told she'd hit, and bigger in frame then she wishes she was but she's nice and fluffy at least? Some how manages to have an hour glass figure despite it all, with fairly sizable t-n-a.
She has a tattoo of the Twilight Mirror from LoZ: Twilight Princess in the almost neon blue of True Form/Twili Midna's tattoos.
Fashion what's fashion? Ree subscribes to the trend of wearing whatever she wants, however she wants, even if she is on the bigger side. There's nothing wrong with being a size 20/22 (though honestly she's more of a 21), eff your opinions. Recently she's been big into crop tops, long/over sized tank tops, and baggy shirts over sports bras or tight tops (occasionally turtleneck styled) paired with short shorts, capris or boot cut jeans. Shoe wise, well she'd rather not wear any but if she must she's a fan of Sketchers D-Lights, Vans, cute sneakers in general, or cute slip ons/flats.
Go-to outfit is a black crop top with a silhouetted rabbit in a glittery purple, over top a a matching purple, thin strapped top and black capris. Basically this but with these shoes in purple.
Accessory wise she wears a lavender jadeite bracelet and glasses that match in color. Also, earrings!
