You and I have not had the pleasure of being introduced yet but your blog was recently brought to my attention by a former team member of yours. After finding myself spending several hours reading through your adventures and exploits from around the world, I found myself drawn to the ones you provided in Mayet. Having spent most of my life here, I’ve realized I’ve closed my eyes to many of the marvels this city has.
After reading through your reviews, I found myself heading to places I didn’t even knew existed! The way you described Pan Apple Bakery had my mouth watering by the end of the read that I had to go and try the fresh apple tart. The service at Nich’s was, as you said ‘spot on and never missed a beat’. Not to mention the hidden menu item of the steaming veal at Loger’s was like nothing I’d ever tried before. I’ve never had a cut that melted in my mouth. In two days I’ve seen more and tasted more in my home town than I have all my life.
I wish to thank you for opening my eyes to things the world around me above all else. For this, I will never be able to thank you enough. However, I would like to try.

Imara had read the email nearly six times since receiving it trying to find out not just who had sent it but if it was legit. Over the years she had received countless flattery messages that would have been no more than scams, spam and nightmares of people trying to take advantage of a woman making a name for herself. This one though was different.
This writer did their homework. They’d referenced work and places, checked them out for themselves, and even shared some personal information while not giving away too much. To say it had peeked Imara’s interest was understated but she still didn’t trust it…especially with the timing.
Having lost her most recent job but two days ago, Imara found this a bit too ironic for her own good. So after a great deal of thinking on it, she sent back a reply that might have been a bit harsher than she would have thought.
While I am glad you were able to support many small, local businesses, I have no interest in being toyed with.
Thank you.And to Imara, that had been that. To this so called ‘partner’, clearly that had not as less than two hours later, she had gotten a response that made her question everything.

What had she gotten herself into?
Deciding once and for all to just ignore the emails, she went back to packing a bag. After losing her job, a long weekend away from the city was something she very much needed. To where? Well she would figure that out when she got…
The dinging of her phone made her groan. “Look bud, I’m not interested in…” She muttered to herself as she picked up the device, flipped to her email and was ready to see that address once more.
What she saw made her drop her phone back onto the couch.
