Ethan Winters was an average guy, though his choice in career definately wasnt a normal one. He worked as a bodyguard for some high class folk, helping keep those that pay for his services safe when he is in their employment. He has general rules for his clients, which mostly just deal with protecting people who arent breaking the law. He doesnt want to defend people like drug dealers or anything just just because he would be breaking the law but morally he wouldnt stand for it. One day, he was protecting a politician in a safehouse by a forest when a wolf came bursting through the glass rear door and began charging his client. Ethan protected and fought off the wolf till he was able to pin the wolf down with it pounced on him. As he held its head down, he felt something metal and flat under the fur and discovered a collar. Realizing it was a trained wolf, he removed the collar, finding it was shocking the wolf into attacking. Feeling that the canine calmed down, he gently lead it to a spare bedroom and locked it in for everyone's safety. After the client was protected and was off to do what they needed to do, Ethan took the dog to a shelter but they explained it would be put down due to its training to maul but he decided to keep the wolf then and for the past few weeks, she had been nothing but loving. In fact, he had just returned home from a long protection service and was tired as he sat on the couch to relax.

 Octavia "Via" WolfariaAnthro FormOctavia, or Via as she was called by her new friend, had been in Ethan's care for a few weeks now. She came into his life and him the same for her rather unexpectedly. She wasn't expecting him to take her in under his care. Not many people would do that for a 'dog' like her as they'd be concerned about other things that might happen. As she came into the room, hearing Ethan return, she jumped onto the couch and lay down next to her 'master' with a wagging tail. She still had scarring from the collar that was used on her since the electricity burned her skin underneath her fur. She didn't wear a collar now because of she wouldn't let Ethan put one on her. Then again she didn't really need one, as she was an anthro and all, but she wanted to make sure that Ethan wouldn't betray her trust like the last time she showed someone her anthro form.

Ethan smiled as hesaw that she lay down next to him, he gently pet her head and would check her neck a bit, he had been putting medicine on her scar tissue to help it heal or at most not be in pain. He was surprised when she wouldnt allow him to put a collar on her but then again, he wasnt surprised. When he took her to the store or to be checked on by the vet, he had to fight to get a harness on her at least since she had to have a leash but quickly got it off her when they were home. He did find it odd that she was much smarter then the average canine, wondering where she came from but the strangest thing was that sometimes when he left the house, he would come back to find doors he remembers having closed opened, and he doubt she learned how to open rounded doorknobs as he hasnt found any bit marks on them. He continued to pet her gently, he did treat her as a dog but moreso as a companion as he would make her dinner that matched his own, making food that was safe for dogs rather then having her eat dog food which she seemed hesitant to eat, maybe her previous 'owners' forced her to eat cheap disgusting dog food thats just put her on not wanting to eat it.

Octavia's tail wagged as he pet her. She'd come to love Cody's touch as it was gentle for a bodyguard. She knew that he liked her as a dog, but would he like her if he saw her true form. As she lay with him, Via stayed close to him, rolling onto her back trying to be goofy and make him smile. She loved when he would smile at her, yet it seemed like he was lonely to her. She looked up at him before she pawed at him playfully, hoping that he would smile for her.

He continued to pet her, he brushed her ears back as he fely that she rolled on her back and he gently rubbed her stomach some but when she rolled back around and pawed at him, he lightly smiled, "Yes, hello Octavia... i know ive been busy lately and havent been giving you as much attention." He said kindly petting her more, gently rubbing and scratching behind her cheeks with both hands, scratching her behind her ears where he believed she liked it.

Octavia's tail starts wagging happily as Ethan scratches behind her ears. He hit her favorite spot and her leg started to kick in a happy way. She'd come to love his gentle touch in the short time she had been with him. She just wasn't sure how he'd react to her true form.

He found that as he scratched her favorite spot he knew she reacted to, her leg began kicking cutely which made the ex-military man smile, "How could someone use a sweet little animal as yourself as a weapon." He said simply, he knew her breed was a perfect attack dog but he still couldnt believe it when he removed the collar when he first encountered her and stopped her from reaching his client at the time. He lessened the scratches and pet her gently as he leaned back, resting as he thought it over, "Honestly, its kinda nice to have someone like you here waiting at home for me." He said speaking to himself a bit, he knew Octavia was a smart animal but doubt she fully understood him.

Octavia's tail wags as she hears what he says. She could tell that he was sincere. Suddenly she got off of the couch, barked at Ethan and when he would look at her, she would start to turn into her true form. She had her ears back as she looked at him. She then said "I'm sorry I hid this from you master........I just wanted to be sure you meant what you said when you first took me in." as she looked away from him, not sure what he'd say.

When Octavia wagged her tail, it made him smile but as she junped off the couch and barked at him, he looked at her, wondering if she was hubgry or something. However then she changed forms, the now human looking canine stood before him and she spoke, calling him master, "Um, well, I guess that explains why you seemed so smart then a usual canine... wait, did you just call me Master?" He asked still a bit stunned as he wondered if he was just having some odd dream.
