Celes would hear her name called, and hear the cheering of the crowd outside. They knew not who she was, just that the fights were continuing. However, she knew her opponent, and knew him well. This wasn't going to be a proper fight, not at first. She needed to test him, to see if he got better. Because if not, she wouldn't hold back. She stood, waiting for Rawber to walk to the ring. When the gong was rang, she'd put him to the test.
He cracked his neck as he stepped up onto the stage; the crowd cheering, his adrenaline pumping. Rawber looked ahead at his opponent. It was a fight he had been waiting for, the fight of the century in his head. He knew he'd gotten better, but how much better? This was gonna be exciting. He couldn't help but smile. If he was gonna do this he felt his first words would have to be a doozy.
"Keep getting stronger. Because if you don't, I won't hold back, and well, you know how easy it is to squish a grape. Those were the last words you said to me before you disappeared when we were younger. " He cracked his knuckles and did a few small stretches. "Well, let's see who the grape is. " He took up a fighting stance and waited fro the gong to ring

Celes allowed her aura to flare as she stared down Rawber, a smirk on her face. "If you think you can take me, then prove it!" As the gong rang, Celes burst forward, unleashing a flurry of strikes towards Rawber. Nothing special at the moment. She wanted to savor this fight.
Just as he figured; she rushed straight at him. Although it was at speeds he wasn't expecting of her. He barely had a chance to put up a guard, and even then it felt like he was getting hit with bricks. She hadn't changed. good, that meant new tricks just might work on her. He attempted to pirouette around her and throw both hands forward at her back in a double open palm strike while cracking a joke. "You know what Bruce Lee's favorite drink is? WATAAAH!"

Celes scoffed at the joke, not really finding the humor in the fight. She wanted to be able to have a serious bout, and it seemed as if Rawber wasn't going to take this seriously. She quickly backflipped over the open palm strike, and drew back her fist. "If you're not going to take this seriously by choice, then I'll make you!"With a yell, Celes fired off a Tyrant Lancer (POWER 110) point blank at Rawber.
Speed. That's her saving grace. Well that and the damned power gap. The speed however was something Rawber could handle for a short time. He dodged out of the way and crossed his arms over his chest put them up in a boxing guard stance, then pointed them down, and then forward with hands open. As he stopped off to the side of Celes, he hoped his technique would work. He unleashed a large field of thick ki in front of him, filling the ring. As he was unleashing it he walked towards the center of the arena. "Oh I'm taking it seriously. That was the only joke. Come and get me" He waved her towards him. He really hoped this would work

This was something new. Celes raised an eyebrow as she tried to discern what he had just done. No matter She'd make sure to find a way around it somehow. Powering up, Celes burst forward. When she hit the ring is when she realized what it was. She felt heavier, less agile. What was this field? This quickly made her re-think her strategy. She'd have to come out with the big guns as quick and often as possible. Hopping back out of the field, she began charging Ki into her fists and feet. It was about time for a combination of strikes...
He watched as she entered and exited the field in confusion. "Neat, huh? I call it Stagnant field. It slows the enemy and gives me a chance to maybe toss hands on those who may be more powerful." A burning fire started upon his hands. He knew she was gonna be mad and could sense whatever was coming next wouldn't be nice, so he prepared his own attack. He hoped with her slowed down he'd have a chance. Here's hoping he was right. And here's hoping he can take this next hit.

Celes rushed in, using her Flash Step to get an extra boost of speed. Once in the field, and within range, Celes unleashed her Justice Combination against Rawber. She wanted to see how well he could handle her best.
A fury of punches and kicks flew from Celes. He would take the hit head-on to keep her close enough for him to retaliate. If he was lucky this attack would show just how far he's come since they last spoke. He flash-stepped forward as soon as he could stand. He attempted to unleash a combo of clawing and punching attacks, finishing with a double palm strike to the face with a wolf head shaped ki strike. "RRAAAAGGGHHHH!!!" If he was lucky this attack would show just how far he's come since they last spoke. If not, he had a few tricks left.

It seems as if Rawber had taken it to heart to get better before their next meeting. They traded blows, and this only made Celes even more fired up. The young hybrid would reel back and launch a point blank Galick Gun towards her friend, showing him to not let up at all.
As Rawber Flashstepped out of the way he realized that the Stagnant Field had a few mere moments before it faded away. He decided he would use this to his advantage and decided to charge his fist with as much ki as he could muster in that time.
