"Are you sure? Because I can assure you that I was talking about earthling tea so I'm pretty sure you misunderstood me." Bright one? Well, that was new. Maritza supposed that in comparison to the rather drab yaeli she did come across as obnoxiously hued. Even if she'd been a more 'subtle' traveler she would have stuck out by default.
"Honestly? I'm not sure. The sailors gave it good reviews, though." From what they said it was open seating so Maritza walked up to one of the empty tables out front and sat down, much to the curiosity of the local patrons. It seemed common enough for half to either pay them no mind at all or to be completely invested in the oddity.
Still, if their waitress cared she didn't show it. She was youthful, somewhere in her late teens if Maritza was to guess and as pudgy as fresh bread. Her smile reached her ears as she looked at the two of them and handed out paper menus. It was only after she'd left to tend to another table that Maritza started speaking again.
"How many daughters do you have?"
