As the Alpha of her pack, Loranna has shown that she is Strong-willed and more egalitarian than her contemporaries. However, that means that she believes that everyone needs to not only earn their place but maintain it. This often comes off as being very strict. Unfortunately as a female often times her strong will comes off as being bullheaded as she doesn't always play by the unspoken rules of her sex. She's generally playful and flirty if she's in a good mood or feels like it will gain her the advantage. Or she can be cruel and down right threatening if any part of her pack's safety or happiness is under threat. If you are not earning your keep in the pack, she can be very callous. She has been known for being judgmental of pack members or potential pack members even to the point of stripping those who she believes are undeserving of their rank...or life if it comes to it. As such a lot of the time her sense of duty often gets in the way of her heart - even a goddess given mate would need to meet her standards and be good for her pack.
History
Loranna Andrea Stolk was born into a large werewolf family. Her father was the Alpha male of the Blue Iris pack and her mother had been a healer. She'd had a blessed childhood with plenty of brothers, sisters, and packmates. Her first shift came very early on - something that the pack saw as auspicious. So early in fact that she wasn't permitted to go to normal human schools until she was fourteen after she'd mastered the shift. The transition from pack life to human society had been interesting to say the least but she'd settled into it by junior year (mostly). By that time it became obvious to her father and the pack that while she showed interest in males, she had no interest in settling down anytime soon. Her father believed that it may have just been a lack of interest in the males of their pack or the other packs so he turned the only friends she'd actually made in High School in an effort to help her blend her lives; ironically they'd both been males, hence why he thought it had been for her benefit.
Shortly after, her mostly wonderful childhood ended. While traveling to one of the choosing ceremonies, her biological family had been surrounded and attacked by a smaller pack that her father had spurned. While her family had come out victorious, there had been heavy casualties; including the fact that her father had been poisoned with something that turned him into something little more than a vicious, wounded beast. In order to save her one remaining brother, Varo, Loranna had to put her own father down. She and Varo made it to the Choosing to meet up with the rest of her pack. As she was still a minor by most people's standards, her uncle Gregori took over the pack and took her and Varo under his care. Loranna trained hard at that point. She never wanted to feel as helpless as she had when her family had been attacked again. By the time that she was twenty-two (working on her own education), Loranna had earned and taken over the rank of Alpha in her pack. She'd earned her Masters in Literature by the age of 23. Even though she pretty much had a 'job' as the Alpha of her own pack, Loranna chose to also work as a stay-at-home editor with a publishing company. After two years of experience on the job she opened up her own publishing company with the use of some of the pack funds. The company is cheekily called Luna and Lupa and has actually been doing fairly well in the nonfiction category.
