➽xxxx He was not sure if the Dullahan had hear him or maybe he just didn’t want to answer. Perhaps he was only asking those things to try and understand the effect of all the decisions he had made in his life up til now. He watched Odhran shuffle around the room and place candels in a formation that Mikael had never witnessed before. It certainly caught him off guards. Glancing away from what the Dullahan had been working on. He turned back to the look aroudn the room almost astonished about that items in the room. A few of them stuck out to him. He knew a couple of historic things but not enough to identify everything in the room. The skulls especially seemed to have some kind of meaning by the position they were placed. A chill crept through the room. Mikael turned to see Odhran kneeling. The veings on his face changing to a darkened black hue. The fire on all the candles had become blue. Startled he watched as Odhran ran a knife against his hand. After watching the blood drip into the bowl Mikael felt a strange tug toward the formation of the candles.
➽xxxx Odhran began to speak in another langauge. The words unknown to him but he could feel the room become cold, dark, and a pull towards his body laying in the center of the candle formation. He couldn’t stop as his body began to float directly toward the spot. Hovering he began to see chains shoot out of the ground. They matched the color of the flames but they were nearly as transparent as himself. As the chat came to an end, the chains tugged Mikael toward his body. For a second, he thought he had been pulled to hell.
➽xxxx In the next moment he could feel the heaviness of his body.In his mind all he saw was a black space void of anything. He couldn’t move a finger or call out to anyone to help. Then a small ball of light formed near him which grew to the shape of a man but not just any man. It was his father. His limbs feeling numb. His whole body felt like lead as he tried to reach for the man he sorely missed. Then his father began to speak.
➽xxxx “Its okay son.” His father shined like a light in the dark space. The corners of his mouth in a frown as he leaned down on the ground to get closer to Mikael.
”I should have taken you away.. The moment I realized that your mother had gone bad.” He placed a calming hand on his cheek.
”I failed us both. Mikael, my son, You are only being given a second chance. There will be no third.” Mikael was not sure if this was his father or some other spirit trying to warn him or comfort him. He barely cared, as for the first time in many years he had seen the face of his father.
➽xxxx While in this void of space, Mikael’s body began to change color. His wounds sealing leaving a scar. The paleness of his skin changing to one of color and life. His closed eyelids began to flutter. His body slowly regenerating back to life. A scar would always exist where the scythe had previously ended his life. Tears were in the corner of his eyes as his face went from pale ti a light tan color.
➽xxxx Inside Mikael’s mind, his father took his hand and leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on his forhead.
”Your strong son. The curse in your blood is strong. I’m sorry that you must take its burden.” With a last smile of profound fatherly love Mikael’s eyes blinked open. For a moment he could feel the heaviness of his body as it reanimated. Once it was complete, he tried to speak. His words not more than a rasp to his sore throat.
➽xxxx The candles flickered the flames rising to three times their size blasing the room with heat then, they flickered low before going completely out. Mikael’s soul felt connected to his body. His body began to feel less like led. He flexed his fingers with more ease than he had thirty seconds before.
“Odhran.. Why did you do that for me of all people?” He facial expression glittered with regret as he began to sit up.
