Located in the heart of west city's industrial sector, the headquarters of Bravo Engineering is a pair of towers that house their corporate offices and sit atop the main entrance to their network of underground workshops.
After a short phone call where he tells his grandpa he'd rather talk in person then on the phone, Spike wastes no time in flying down to Bravo Engineering HQ. Once inside, he quickly makes his way up to his grandpa, and CEO of the company, Jonathan Bravo's office only to be greeted with a "Spike, My boy. I'm glad to see you are alright, but I have to ask, what were you doing entering that martial arts tournament, and what the heck happened after the broadcast cut out?" Spike, who was hoping in vain that he could skip the conversation to what he needed from his grandpa without having the explain all the crazy events of the last couple of days, Sighs before apprehensively saying "It's kind of a long story, but I guess the first part of that question I can answer quickly enough. I was in the tournament to hopefully impress someone who according to some martial artists I meat would know more about dad's earing."
"I've got a clear schedule for today, so there's time for you to tell me that long story." Jonathan pipes in with after Spike pauses for a second to think on what to say next. Spike still looking pretty unsure about how to explain everything responds "Uh well the thing is even if you have the time for the story I'm not sure I do, but sense I need your help in dealing with some of the stuff I learned about because of this mess you deserve an explanation, so here's the quick version. So some time travelers from a post-apocalyptic future attempted to assassinate a guy who becomes an evil emperor in their future, after that failed soldiers from the evil empire who apparently also came back in time opened up wormholes to send away a bunch of people to somewhere(/somewhen?) else. I was one of the people sent away and after meeting up with some of the others that were sent away from the tournament as well we got a bit of an explanation of what was going on from one of the time travelers that was part of the attempted assassination before 'knights' of that evil empire showed up and attacked us. That fight ends with some gods showing up and sending us back to the roughly here and now. Me and the time traveler then end up spending last night at a fortune teller's place where I 1] learn I'm apparently half god from the fortuneteller 2] get more of the time traveler's story (which includes the fact that the apocalypse starts in about six months from now)" and 3] built a device to track the other one of my dad's earrings (sense, as we saw when fighting the knights, they are apparently a pair of magical god earrings that can fuse two people together if they put them on opposite ears) oh and also using that device i tracked down one of the gods that sent us back hoping it was actually my dad it was picking up, but she was of no help sense she refused to tell me anything about my dad or just send me to him.
Spike then pauses for a couple of seconds as he watches his grandpa take all of that in but then continues with "I know that's a lot to take in and hard to believe. I was there and barely believe most of what happened, but now that all that is out of the way I need to ask for your help cus my gut feeling is I'm going to need my Dad's help to prevent that apocalypse and according to my tracking device for godly earrings he's not on earth sense nothing is in range and it's range should cover the entirety of earth so within the next six months I'm gonna need to have built a space ship, used said space ship to go looking for my dad, and gotten back in time to prevent apocalypse. So sense I don't have the time to fully learn rocket science myself what I need your help with is getting a fast enough spaceship for me to find my dad and get back before 6 months from now, so I hope you've got enough strings you can pull over at bottle corp to get their help with this cus as far as I know they are the only company working on making spaceships right now."
After getting back from inspecting the sightings of a spaceship landing outside the city with the network signal node he was given by Ringo, Spike quickly got to work on setting up a connection between one of the spare computers in his bit of private workshop space and the network of Ziber's ship by way of the signal node he was given. It only took him a few moments to get a spare computer set up and running without any connection to the company's network incase something went wrong. The main hurdle after getting a computer to hook the node up to was figuring out how the connection port on the signal node actually worked sense it didn't seem to be any recognizable earth standard connection port.
"Hmm... where did I leave that tool I made to test out other companies' proprietary connectors?" Spike would ask himself as he started to look the device he was asking himself about. Shortly into that search he would find the device in question burred in a plastic container that was sored away on top of a long undisturbed shelf. With the help of that old device, Spike would then proceed to easily fashion a custom connection cable to connect the spare company computer to the signal node. Once his connection to the ship's network was confirmed by a response to a message he sent through the signal node, Spike connected the Potara Tracker to the computer and started uploading a snapshot of a single moment of the magically collected data the device was only searching a fraction of for the signals of potara earrings, which led to the device's limited range.
Hoping that with either the brute force of adding their network's computing power to the task to increase the range at the expense of needing to keep the device hooked to the network and/or the development of a more efficient data searching algorithm to increase the range, Spike then took a seat for the first time sense getting back here as he realized he was in for a multi-hour wait as the data sample he was sending was, without any form of data compression that could possibly disrupt it's usability in the tracking algorithm he was currently using, ludicrously large compared to the data transfer speed of the signal node.
