Personality ● Nyrissa is a very proud girl, having abandoned her family when she was younger to rejoin her pod. From then, she became a kinder but still proud girl. She was often stubborn and wished for things to happen her way, a side effect of how she was raised. For the longest time she was a difficult girl to get along with, especially after her families demise. Over the years she has become less and less difficult, coming to terms with the fact that she needs to move forward. Now, as she is preparing to marry and become queen, she is prim and proper when she needs to be but a wondering soul when she doesn't.

Strengths
● Shifting: Because of the years she spent in exile, she is quite skilled at turning human when she needs too.
● Languages Learned: She has spent a good deal of three years learning different languages some of them including animal languages.
● Singing: While she does enjoy it, Nyrissa has a compelling voice. Much like the Sirens but different as sometimes if they are small minded, she can compel other merfolk with her voice.
Weaknesses
● Reintegration: After spending so many years away from her pod and the underwater world, reintegrating has been difficult and she misses some human things.
● Hopeless Romantic: When she falls in love, she falls hard even if it isn't the best for her.

Biography
● Nyrissa is the eldest of three children, though she does not share the same mother as her siblings. She was old enough to remember when her parents had to leave their kingdom. Her parents, an ex noble from the merfolk pod and a servant had been banished just before her half sisters birth for marrying while he was still wed to someone else. With two children already between them. His daughter and her son, they were pleasantly surprised to find she was pregnant with their third child (though the child's father was not who they thought). The pregnancy was smooth, and the birth easy. But it was all downhill from there. Her brother grew ill on land, his body unable to cope with the change. By her third birthday, he passed. Nyrissa, a proud person, grew distant from her family, eventually leaving them to regain her position in the pod. At just twelve years old, she was reintegrated into the pod and expected to forget her human ways. She didn't however, enjoying getting to shift and go on land to spend a day with humans. After her family was attacked, she felt sorrow over losing most of her family. Expecting her step-mother and sister had passed, she lived with her birthmother. Her mother worked hard to make sure her daughter was known in the noble side of the mer-society. Upon her sixteenth birthday, she was presented to the current King and Queen of Valencia as a potential match to one of their sons.
Upon her twentieth birthday, it was confirmed that she was the chosen match for the now Crown Prince of Valencia. They were given the option to wed at that point but had both chosen to wait. Now two years later, and one death of a King later, their window of waiting is beginning to shut, meaning they would be wed soon and not long after, they would both be coronated into the King and Queen of Valencia. Nyrissa knows this is the best choice for her future but is nervous to marry someone she was set up with, her worry being what if they don't actually love each other? At least she knows they can be friends.
