Brian walked through Maplewood City, taking in the sights in a rare chance for him to get away from the restaurant and Gym. His sous chef could handle the customers for the moment, and had assured his employer as such. So, with nothing to do until he had a challenger, Brian used his Alakazam, Psyche, to teleport him to Maplewood City. He'd heard of the Battle Park, and decided he wanted to try it out. He wouldn't be battling as a Gym leader this time, just as a normal trainer. This was why he'd brought some of the Pokemon he didn't use for battling; it had been too long since they'd had a good battle, and he knew they were itching for some action. That being said, he entered the park and just walked around, taking in the sights and smells as he waited to see if anyone would challenge him.
