XXXXXAlva casually turns the highback chair he is seated in within the shadows of the darkened Gym's floor. His body leaning forward as the glint of glasses shine from the light barely illuminating the room around them. "So.. You've made it passed the trials and wish to challenge me? Excellent." He says while slowly raising to his feet in the dark, the glow of a pokeball illuminating his hand. "I hope you're prepared to face the overwhelming power of my Dark pokemon!" He says as he takes a step forward and the light hits his face. This sudden bright light partially blinding his eyes, causing him to recoil backwards. Slip. And tumble into the chair he was previously sitting in with a verbal yelp.
As he scrambles back to his feet, Alva groans out loud and raises his hand to wipe a bead of sweat from his head before his eyes soon open wide and be begins scrambling around until he finds the dropped pokeball he had been holding. "Um.. None of that happened! Ugh.. This is why I told the my predecessor that the whole 'Scary Gym Teacher' approach isn't gonna work!" He grumbles the end and then walks downwards towards his challenger while dusting off his red pants while getting into position to receive the challenge of this trainer that had fought their way here. "Alright! Get ready!!" He yells at last, before casting out the first Pokémon he was going to use for this battle. His gray eyes gleaming in anticipation of another good battle.
