If there was one word to describe Cyrano, it would be introverted, incredibly so, always seeming to have a preference for being far away from any sort of social interaction whatsoever. Social interaction is a difficult thing for someone like Cyrano, finding stress in speaking to another human being to a degree that he can’t help but stutter and find a way to get out of the conversation entirely. There is an underlying discomfort in interaction for Cyrano which mostly stems from his desire to not stand out as an individual. To Cyrano, the idea of being in the spotlight is simply too troublesome, that he would much rather blend in with the crowd and never be noticed by another individual. Part of this is because he believes he doesn’t deserve to be at the center of attention, being someone who should simply stick with being a nameless person that will never be written down in any substantial text, that there are better people who are more deserving of such grandeur. This makes him rather quiet, doing his best to not say anything when in a group in order to stay unnoticed, worried that if he does say something or is talked to, his social anxiety will kick in, causing him to fumble his words or otherwise make a fool of himself and draw even more attention toward himself. However it is because of this worry that Cyrano will not necessarily run from a conversation, as that will draw more attention to himself, thus he will do his best to participate if he must, holding back his desire to run until the talk reaches a natural conclusion. The chances of him running however depend on how long a single conversation goes for or how many consecutive conversations he has in a row, either lowering his tolerance for talking with others and making running from them appear more preferable to him.
Cyrano often speaks and acts in a deadpan, his tone and face not being too expressive when in front of others, appearing as if he has little emotion. This idea is further exemplified by an apparent calmness he displays, never seeming too rattled or bothered by most things, keeping his cool in tough situations, especially when in the company of others. Indeed with his deadpan and calm demeanor, it more often than not appears as if he is in complete control of himself in any given scenario, no matter how dangerous or nerve wracking it might be. However this is him putting on a front to appear unaffected by social interaction when in fact it is still very much something that causes him to become very anxious. This act he puts on is to keep others from noticing his social anxiety and thus drawing some kind of attention toward himself. With experience, Cyrano has become fairly talented in keeping this act up, making it hard for some to see through his veil of calm. Unfortunately he isn’t perfect at it, enough pressure being more than enough to make it all crack and reveal himself for who he actually is. He seems to be fairly stubborn with keeping the act up, doing his best to appear as composed in front of others as much as he can. It is only when he is around people he is comfortable with and can trust that he drops this, allowing himself to speak more openly about his worries and anxieties. However even while his calm facade is broken, Cyrano has shown to be fairly blunt, being honest toward individuals and what he likes and doesn’t like about them when the situation is appropriate. While he is adverse to drawing attention to himself, he does believe that someone should be honest with another person when it comes to telling them how one feels about that individual or a situation. Cyrano, when asked, will be honest about how he feels about someone, even if it may hurt them, and he would prefer if people were bluntly honest about how they feel about him as well. This is an innate desire to not hide his feelings from others or being someone people have to hide their feelings from despite the fact it is something he regularly practices with his composed act. He doesn’t like to hide things, but feels that he must hide his true self in order to live comfortably and to not make life difficult for others, especially in more dire situations.
Cyrano as well seems to have a consistent low energy about him, always seeming sluggish, lazy, and is simply incapable of having high energy. His posture and gait always suggests that he is heavily sleep and food deprived, that he has gone days without sustenance or rest and is struggling to remain conscious. Even his form of speech reflects his low energy, never sounding enthusiastic or displaying much of any other emotion in the way he speaks, his deadpan voice not making this much better. He’s been known to suddenly fall asleep at times, while eating, while standing, but rarely during conversations, his anxiety being enough to keep him up in order to not draw attention to him suddenly passing out while speaking to another person. His lack of energy has even gone so far as to cause him to have somewhat of a delayed reaction to most things, taking a moment to process what occurred. This is mostly in regards to physical and visual reactions, Cyrano having more normal paced ones when it comes to sounds and conversations, for the most part. During conversations with people, he typically responds right away in order to get through the conversation quicker, but when he’s talking with someone he trusts and is comfortable with, he will usually have delayed verbal responses and reactions when talking to them, Cyrano being comfortable enough to ease himself enough to drop his guard. His seeming lack of energy is due to how much effort he puts into his work and passion, that being Pokémon Battles, spending all of his energy there rather than other essential things in life, his studies, his social life, even eating and sleeping. His passion for battles is indeed something considerable, going beyond just a pastime and into the realms of being obsession. He is known for going into long winded ramblings when battles are brought up, his passion for it breaking through his social anxiety.

xxxxx※There was a man who had once considered himself a duelist, he was a man who traveled the world participating in Pokémon battles of all kinds, fighting in gyms, tournaments, royales, one on ones, he did this all not for collecting badges, not four the journey, but for the sake of dueling itself. He won many battles and lost his own fair share just the same; what he had accomplished was not with a team of Pokémon, but rather a single Pokémon, a Pangoro who he had grown to call a friend. This man, with his Pangoro, was even known for crashing whole tournaments and gym battles in progress just to fight the victor himself while the heat of the battle was still there, he had taken hostages just to make his opponent fight against him desperately, he allowed his Pangoro to cause collateral damage in battles as he simply had no restraint nor care for the safety of those uninvolved in his duels. He was a outrageous man that did just about anything to participate in a battle with his partner; though his passion persisted for years he eventually disappeared off the face of the planet. In the time he was gone however, he had met a woman who had managed to calm his passion enough for him to rest for a time. Together they had a son, one who had inherited his father's passion for battle yet his mother's studious side as well, with these two inherited traits, their son Cyrano had become a child that was not just interested in participating in battles, but the history and study of battles as well. Cyrano loved his father a great deal, seeing him as a source of inspiration and learning. With him he managed to catch his first Pokemon, a Cyndaquil he named Vul and with his new partner he strove to go on a journey of battle himself. With catching himself a team of Pokémon, not wishing to take the same journey as his father to neither besmirch the name his father made for himself nor to rob himself of his own story.
