In the beginning, Kulda beat back the darkness to create a place for humankind and all other races to live in peace: Fieran. She bore children, seven, and called them virtues. Over time, prophecies of their coming to help the world warped, mostly due to humans slowly becoming angrier and angrier, more and more pitted against the other species of the world. The virtues became sins, and the sins were hunted down, ready to be slaughtered. The only one found was Lust, and he was killed, right in front of the eyes of Envy and Greed. They were devastated, and went into hiding to escape the same fate. Irritated with the lack of progress, the king has called together the best and brightest warriors in the kingdom to hunt down and exterminate the sins once and for all.
~~
The Darkness moves. The light fades for you my children, very soon. Stand fast against the encroaching night, pierce the shadows of doubt and find safety in the light of your virtues.
Nothing can compare, not in all the worlds or throughout every sea of time, to the unconditional love of the creator Goddess. Each of the seven Sins would receive this message in the wanderings of their dreams, a cry for warning in a time of trial. As the message ended each of her children received a vision. The sound of thundering hooves was overlapped with the baying of hounds, and buffeted by these sounds they see the singular sight of a blade being unsheathed.
The message could not be misunderstood. The Sins were in danger.

xxxxxxx Syn Jaden Draven ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Location: King Jordan's throne room // On the road With: King Jordan & the other Chosen // Any of the Chosen Mood: Unsure about our orders, but I will follow what our King decrees. Companions: Zsadist & Bella OOC: Hope the post is alright & hope you all enjoy the RP!
Syn stood in the throne room at attention, his gaze and full attention on the King. He listened to what Jordan had to say and held his tongue when he heard that they were supposed to destroy the Sins. He didn't fully agree with the order to kill them, something within him rebelled against that, but he wasn't sure what it was. He had been a part of the King's Chosen for around five years, and since then he had noticed certain things about their King as well as most of those surrounding the King. There was a feeling of unease but having been raised by a Priest he had learned long ago to follow orders and to never talk back to your elders. "As you c-command Sire." Was all that he said, with a slight stutter, before being dismissed. He turned and left the room after bowing to the King and made his way outside and mounted his horse. He had ended up having to take a year to train his horse, for most animals tended to shy away from him. The reason behind that is because most were able to sense the predator living just beneath his skin.
As he mounted his horse he let out a whistle, one that carried over the land and only two animals could hear it. Moments later a pair of Siberian Huskies appeared. Syn smiled down to the pair and turned his horse around and made his way out of the main city. He chose to ignore those that he felt were suffering around him, doing the best he could to not let their pain effect him. He looked over his shoulder, wondering if any of the others were making their way to the location given to them by the King or if they would be completing other tasks before hand. He had already spoken to his father, having received the summons days prior, letting his father know that he must leave and that he wasn't sure when he would be able to return. He had been having this feeling that something was going to happen that would remove him from his home and that it would be something that would keep him away for some time.
He got those feelings some times, and most of the time whatever he felt tended to come to pass. He faced forward once more, his eyes scanning his surroundings, never allowing his guard to drop least someone went to attack him. He knew a few other the other Chosen, having had missions with a few in the past, but there were others that he had only met on a few occasions. He had done his best to learn the names of all of his comrades as well as what their talents were when it came to battle, wanting to know what to be prepared for. With those thoughts in mind and with the orders having been given out, Syn already had an idea of how things could turn out if they ended up finding any of the Sins. He knew that there could be losses on both sides if it turned into a large battle, and as much as Syn despised war, his mind was telling him it might come to that.

"USE THIS COLOR FOR DIALOGUE"
█████████████████████████████████ X X tabtab❧xxtab To say the very idea of this rather sordid undertaking left Alexander on edge was an understatement. They were being asked to murder major religious figures who the Inhumans deeply revered. What good could possibly come from this kind of barbarism? None that Hanrull could think of, all the same, he had no reason to doubt that the king wanted the best for his people and so he had agreed and trudged onward, mounting upon his horse Heliod before riding after, Syn was it? Yes, he'd remembered hearing that name at the debrief. Syn seemed like a reasonable sort, most of the other chosen did...Except one. Lyn. Something about that guy rubbed Xander the wrong way and gave him a deep-seated sense of anxiety. The guy seemed so... artificial, like everything that made him who he was, existed solely as a twisted fabrication. Perhaps that effect was caused by trauma, maybe it was something else. All the same, Xander was on guard, that seemed to be his default state of being since he was first drafted after all. So with his gauntlets hanging off his belt and his shields affixed to his back he simply rode in silence just a bit behind Syn, only briefly stopping with the aforementioned chosen whistled, calling forth a pair of... sled dogs? A strange find outside of the northern regions, but Xander wasn't one to question so he simply rode past continuing along the road. The sooner they found 'Greed', The sooner they could be done with this wretched expedition and thusly be rid of the pendants given them by the king. They were supposed to help them stand against the sins but... something about them felt wrong, just like that Lyn guy. All the same, the Shield of Narvuul rode onward towards their destination. "Don't let your canine companions fall behind Draven." Melchior stood silently and listened as their king spoke. As he understood it, these 'sins' were seeking to destroy the kingdom while he and the other Chosen had been called to protect it. Seemed straightforward enough, but he'd learned at an early age that things weren't always what they seemed to be. Why, for instance, did they need to kill the Sins rather than just capture them? Wouldn't that be enough to keep them from carrying out their misdeeds? It seemed like a logical reason to Mel, but he wasn't the one in charge of running an entire kingdom. Perhaps there was something here that he didn't understand just yet. Even so, the idea of harming another, let alone killing them in cold blood just didn't sit well with him. Maybe it would make more sense once they encountered the Sins? Only time would tell, he supposed.
He turned to leave when they were dismissed, falling into line behind the other Chosen. One of the others, Syn?, had already responded to King Jordan. One response was enough, right? Perhaps not, but he got the feeling that their king would prefer they start this mission sooner rather than later. Well, maybe he should at least nod in understanding of their task? Mel wasn't really the talkative type when in a situation such as this, it was rather foreign to him. No, he was much more comfortable when performing in front of people, whether the grouping was large or small mattered naught to him because he was confident in his acts. They were familiar, fun, thrilling. Would he have opportunities to use his skills on this mission? He had to, right? Wasn't that at least part of the reason he was among the Chosen? Melchior wasn't exactly known for being a fighter, but he definitely knew how to, among other things, put on a show.
Melchior mounted his own horse shortly after Xander had and followed along behind the two who had already departed. He raised a curious brow at the pair of dogs which fell into line with Syn. Was their purpose companionship or something more? Maybe he could ask about them later? Sure, he knew names, mostly, and a little bit about each of the others with relation to their skillsets, but that was about it. If they were going to be journeying together for the foreseeable future, it would probably be good to learn a bit more about each of his companions. Now the question was how to start such a conversation? This didn't exactly seem like the best time for it after all. They had somewhere to be right now. Mayhap if they stopped for a break?

tabThe Female The queen stood in the throne room, her body standing straight as Nemorsea perched on her shoulder. Her eyes traveled across the room, looking at all that were in attendance. She listened to all the Jordan said and paid close attention to all the responses of those present. She noted the reactions of all present and filed that information away for later use. Once all that were there had left and it was just herself and Jordan she stepped to his side and looked down to him and spoke. "Do you really believe they can pull off this mission? I know you have a lot of faith in a few of the Chosen but do you truly believe that they will be able to murder the Sins?" She smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes. Her mind working out any problems that could happen. They had a secret and none would ever learn about it. The queen placed a hand on Jordan's shoulder as she stood there, her body relaxed while also tensed for anything that may happen.

Jordan Sonella
Human King
"It'll get finished, one way or another," Jordan snarled, one another, standing and making his way out of the throne room after the others had left. He almost shoved her to the side but instead had just taken her hand, gently pulling her along with him. No good to look as if he was abusing his queen, no good at all. He wasn't a monster, not like those beasts out there. "It will happen or they will die trying. And if they die, I will send more."
Four hooves took their turn digging into the ground and pushing off with all of the force the sinew and muscle could muster. Tears streamed down a freckled face as they frantically wondered how they got into this position.
Two nights ago had been the new moon and Momori had been feeling confident and wasn’t being particularly careful when they went hunting after a rabbit and split off from their herd. Quite a ways away they twisted their ankle and because they were in a weakened state it was bad. The herd must have kept moving ahead without her or been spooked to run because when they slowly hobbled their way back they couldn’t find them.
They followed the trail for a day and slept alone that night. Momori had gotten side-tracked from the herd for a couple days before so they might have thought nothing of it. That’s when the slavers found them. Momori didn’t stand and fight. There were five of them. So they ran. Bad ankle and all.
Typically one of the quickest in their herd they were significantly slower with a limp. Having 3 legs to rely on helped better than if the taur had only 2 but it wasn’t ideal and the slavers were catching up. One appeared from ahead, Momori hadn’t noticed them and threw a lasso in their direction. Screaming as the twisted ankle took weight on the sharp turn to dodge the rope, the scream was cut short when their head was yanked to the side by the rope catching hold on one of the antlers. They regained their footing and pulled but the other slavers caught up and one tackled them on their back. A yelp escaped as weight was put on the hurt ankle and Momori went down.
Despite efforts to fight them off they relieved the deer-taur of their bag, quiver, and bow and tied them up. The walk back to the slaver’s town was extremely unpleasant because they dragged Momori on the ground. Developing sores on their side and they had to wiggle to try and distribute the weight so that they wouldn’t get scratched up worse. It hardly helped. The new moon had been recently and Momori wasn’t healing as well. Eventually a small trail of blood lead up to where they would be keeping them in a cage with other inhumans.
Momori wept and looked over their wounds, dismayed that they had no cloth or water to tend to them. Curling up on the dirt in a corner they cried, fearing that no one would come.
