This guild seems to have fallen dormant once again. Come on people, get to posting. I'm posting this thread to discuss ballads, old and new. Not only from the rock genre but from others as well.

One of my favorite ballads is Edith and the Kingpin by Joni Mitchell. Original's here, and an excellent Tina Turner cover is here.

A few select lines:
One by one they bring his renegade stories to her,

He tilts their tired faces gently to the spoon.

"Ordinary Man" by Ozzy Osbourne is the most recent one. "Under Your Scars" by Godsmack would be a close second. Love how they've taken that single and promoted a mental illness foundation.
