BRIEF OVERVIEW | J. B. Flemming is in charge of the location, procurement, and restoration of ancient tome and writings. He is known among the Reconnaissance Division as a solitary agent, preferring to work alone. J. B. has little trust in his peers when it comes to the meticulous handling of his charges. Sometime after his recruitment into the agency, he was tasked with passing his passion for the language arts down to a new generation of Shadelings. He brings a heavy hand to his teaching style, looking for perfection out of his students. As one of the more strict teachers, it is believed that simply passing his class means your a master writer. There is a rumor throughout the school saying that his usual stern look is due to the fact that he prematurely knows if you are going to make a writing mistake.

                        Thugs

Steam erupted in the face of the 2 thugs closest to Invi. The scalding temperature ate at their flesh, melting the meat off their bones. What was left was a pile of bone and mush, the smell of inner organs wafting. Their chain and bat, respectively, fell to the ground in a clatter. The two minions were dead.

A hooking punch came towards the head thug, instinctively thrown by Atlas in their general direction. The attack came fast. Having put all of their energy and weight into their slash there was no room to escape. The strike found his jaw, and with a snap, detached it from his spinal column. Atlas would feel the strike ring true, even hear the snap, but the thug was still invisible for a moment. The force of the hit launched the minion to the side and after a few moments, he reappeared a few meters from the point of impact and fell to the ground.

The men in black reacted fast, reading Atlas's movements as a direct threat to their leader. One suited man stood between Daisuke and the flying shadow 'ping pong balls' and slammed their hands into the ground. A stone wall erupted from the ground in front of them, growing high enough to reach the roof of the 3 story buildings that formed the alleyway. The shadow balls would reflect into its surface harmlessly. Alike suited man would then appear similarly on Invi's side, slamming their hands into the ground and causing a stone wall to grow closer to Invi's side, growing equally to the height of the 3 story buildings, boxing the two in.

An additional suited man would arrive next to their comrade on either side, placing their hands against the stone walls. Each suited man pumped mana into the walls, reinforcing their strength as well as the ground and building walls around the alley. They would now be strong enough to fend off most blows. The added mana, adding to the mana put out by the original casters was enough to cast an additional wall. A stone wall grew out of the ground between both Atlas and Invi, reaching high enough to meet the 3 story buildings peak. Each shadeling was now boxed into their own cage.

A suited man would jump to the top of the wall on Invi's side. Clapping their hands together the man channeled mana and drew forth their mastery over water. Water began pouring into Invi's chasm from the body of the suited man. Quickly filling the space in an attempt to drown her.

Two more minions would appear atop the buildings flanking the stone cages. Drawing on their mana reserves they would each begin conjuring pressurized air around their bodies. If a shadeling attempted to make the ascent out of the stone boxes they would immediately appear above them and channel a high-pressure wall of wind to knock them back down into their death traps.

Daisuke would simply stand in the street watching his gang do their work. He twirled his tanto dagger in excitement. A lone black-suited individual was still present on either side of the wall, not performing a task, waiting for a moment to jump into the fray.

Location: Sector 11, Alleyway
Summary: The black-suited individuals grow stone walls around the shadelings to box them in. One side is being filled with water while the other side is being filled with fire.
