XXXXX ✦⋰⋰ Kai grew up in the Uchiha household shuttered away from everyone, constantly being trained by his father to be 'The best of all the Uchiha.' His father was a war hero his mother a medical nin so it was understandable as to why his father worked him so hard. His parents were great and he loved them, but he wanted to be just a normal kid like all the rest of his fellow classmates. In the academy, Kai would tend to be the class clown. While all the same being top of the class. His grades were a reflection of how much he adored his parents and his antics were a reflection of how he wanted to be adored by others. During classes he would be so focused on his work and on the class breaks he was always the first one to liven up the mood. Kai was a people pleaser and loved being one and even to the day he still is.
After his school days he would always go straight home to train with his father but wanted to hang out with the other kids all the same. There were days where his friends would want to hang out with him after school but being the desirable son he always aimed to be he would go home and train instead. Kai thought if he couldn't hang out with his friends after school he would jam pack his school breaks with fun and antics during school. It was a nice balance.
Soon Kai graduated from the academy and was then sorted into his own team of genin where he immediately built a connection with them. Although his sharingan wasn't fully developed yet that soon would change and after his first mission it was really put in perspective for him on how dangerous the world actually was outside the village... It was just a simple courier mission but it was scenario where you would describe it as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. They were on their way back to the village from their destination and in a blur him and his teams situation turned sour.
They were ambushed by rogue ninja with smoke and the clashing of kunai knives against each other, and even though their Jonin sensei was a very skilled shinobi. Even he couldn't keep up with the now 8 rogues swarming the scene, as well as protecting us. "Get out of here and stick together!! I'll buy you time!" He called out to us. However in the panic the genin were separated from each other anyway. Kai needed to find them and his heart was beating about a thousand times a minute. "Where are they... I need to find them...!" He didn't even realize he activated his sharingan under the extreme stress and was scanning the tree line for any kind of movement that could indicate where his comrades could be. During which he heard his comrade Sora scream a little ways away from him and he immediately reacted by heading straight to her.
Upon reaching a slight clearing he could see her struggling in combat by an over sized rogue at least 4 times larger than her. "Give me that scroll little girl!" He bellowed to her under the force of a downward swing which sent her crashing through the branches and slamming against the earth in a bone chilling impact. "NO!" Kai screamed out to him. "K-Kai... H-help me please..." she said to him weakly in between tears while he simultaneously was trying to fight back his own already streaming tears. This was the first moment Kai realized just how painful the real world could be. His crimson 1 tomoe eyes stared down the rogue in anger. He blinked and 1 had now became 2 and his world instantly became slower. "Huh...? Well, well, well. An Uchiha eh? I bet i can fetch a good price on those precious eyes of yours boy...." The rogue exclaimed stupidly. "Try it..." He replied. As the rogue than immediately leaped from his branch towards Kai. However in his own mind it was as if the bandit was leaping to him in slow motion and with his fastest reaction time yet, Kai weaved the signs of his jutsu before the rogue could even clear a foot from the tree he was on. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" It was his clans jutsu which was passed down generation after generation that he chose and poured his all into it. Inhaling deeply he then exhaled a mass of flame that engulfed well over the rogues size. "IMPOSSIBLE!" the man exclaimed in shock before being completely swallowed up by the flames and his screaming deafening all around him before silence and a dark mass of flame which hurtled to the ground below motionless.
Breathing heavily Kai jumped down to his now unconscious comrade and immediately checked for a pulse. Just at that moment his other genin comrade emerged from the bushes after finally reaching them and soon after his beaten and battered Jonin sensei. His sharingan still activated his tears began pouring on his unconscious comrades own cheek before shakily getting up and staggering backwards and slumping against the tree directly behind him. Staring at his team with his crimson eyes and breaking down he finally said to them "...She's gone... I wasn't quick enough..." (Pan out to stormy weather)
3 years passed since the death of his teammate and he had just been promoted to chunin on the anniversary of it all. Bittersweet as it was he moved forward and used that as a driving force for himself. He was soon placed into his own temporary team which compromised of 1 other more experienced chunin and 2 other genin. He needed to be ready for his very own team one day as well of course and this was his leadership training for that. Their mission was to escort a merchant to the land of rice patties. However since the encounter 3 years back Kai's head was now on a swivel at all times. He would never let what happened 3 years ago happen again. They had been walking for about a day now and had no encounters. Not even other merchants which concerned Kai as it didn't seem normal. It was normally busy with merchants coming and going but there wasn't a soul. Concerned Kai said to his chunin superior "I don't like this I am going to scout up ahead and see what i can see sound good?" nodding in approval he replied "I'm glad you noticed that as well i will keep them safe be careful..." he exclaimed before beckoning the genin and merchant to a hiding spot.
Kai than took off on ahead and hugged the treeline before reaching a small canyon. Looking down into it he could see it. a bottleneck of merchants and traders being held hostage by a group of bandits looting their wares. "8 of them huh..." he muttered quietly to himself. "Move it! Push on!" is what he could hear in the distance behind him. Spinning around in surprise he could see his team bound and beaten being escorted by bandits towards the canyon. "Tch... dammit!" They finally reached the canyon and than called out to the sky "Come out! We know your here somewhere kid! Or we'll start taking your comrades heads off!" They finished "Dammit that's 12 now and they all known i'm here now... Think Kai!" It than dawned onto him. Kai immediately weaved a few hand signs. "Times up!" the bandit called out to him before placing a kunai against his chunin seniors neck. "Wait!!" Kai called out before emerging from behind the canyons wall with his hands up. "I surrender..." and dropped to his knees. "Wise choice..." the bandit replied before approaching him and grabbing onto his arms to bind them "Unwise choice..." Kai whispered to the bandit before his skin crackled and than exploded, severely electrocuting the bandit in the process. "AGHHHH!!!" the bandit cried before falling to the ground unconscious. "Raiton: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu is always a fun trick to use..." Kai said to himself before nose diving off the top of the canyon sharingan activated and kunai at the ready and mid flight launched each kunai at the bandits below around his comrades eliminating and cutting their binds simultaneously. "That's 3 down..." Immediately Kai's team and the bandits all engaged each other. Reading all their moves Kai and company started picking each of them off with ease. It looked as if it would be a quick wipe, until a hulking figure soon seemingly came out of nowhere and joined in on the battle and from across the field Kai could see his chunin senior being held up by the throat struggling, choking and flailing from this mass of a man covered in rags from head to toe.
Occupied with his current battle and being too far from the two he couldn't get to his chunin senior and with a flick of the mans wrist and the faint crunching that could be heard from where Kai was... It was over and the flailing instantly stopped as his arms and legs fell limp before being dropped like a sandbag on to the cold earth. Wide eyed Kai screamed out in what seemed like to him a distant and muffled cry. After which the man immediately reached out to the stunned in fear genin that were by the seniors side fending off the bandits with him, and grabbed them both by the neck, lifting and choking them in the same manner as their fallen leader... "CHIDORI NAGASHI!" Kai called out as he, the earth, and the air erupted in a loud screeching, chirping noise, and electrocuting the bandits around him causing each of them to fall stiff to the ground as the lightning continued to ravage their nervous systems. Kai than dashed towards the masked figure with the chidori still streaming in the palm of his hand, tearing up the earth in its path. As he dashed towards the man, one of the genin yanked off the man shawl revealing his features just as the man started applying more pressure to the kids throats... Revealing the mangled but same rogue from 3 years ago that killed Sora. Kai's eyes pulsed at the mans sight and the third tomoe formed in his iris. Making direct eye contact with the man, Kai placed him involuntarily in the sharingans genjutsu. As this happened the man whispered faintly "...You..." before falling under the genjutsus mercy. He than released the genins necks and his arms fell to his side limply before Kai plunged the chidori straight through the mans upper torso. "Chidori Senbon..." Kai whispered with tears streaming down his cheeks as the finishing blows were inflicted riddling the insides of his upper torso with thousands of senbon. Kai removed his arm from the torso of the man as his lifeless body fell to the ground one last time.
Years went by and he got older still training with his dad and skyrocketing through the ranks, and by the time he was 18 or 19 he became jonin and even his own father could barely keep up with him after that. A couple years later his father had retired, and known that he had taught Kai everything he knew and then some. After which Kai was free to do as he wished and in all that extra free time meet new people and build more friendships. Kai's goal was to at least meet 1 new person every day and build atop those new friendships. When Kai isn't on a mission, he often frequents his evenings at a bar with his good buddy Takashi, and in the day trains his students and himself. He never sits still and is always doing something with his day.
