Dragomir had been in search of water for some time now. Every time he went out on hunts with his siblings, one or two of them would remind him that, should he get lost, it was best to find a body of water first and foremost. While another dog might be offended that their siblings thought it necessary to remind them every time they went out, Dragomir had always appreciated their lessons. So, when he heard the sound of the stream from afar, he bolted in its direction without a second thought. "No way, no way, no way!" He cheered as the stream came into view. With a leap and a bound, he splashed into the shallows and stamped his paws with glee. It wasn't until his excitement dimmed that he took a deep breath, scanned the rest of his surroundings, and took notice of the other wolfdog.

"Oh!" Dragomir hopped back onto the shore. "Hello!"

Shaking out his paws, Drago tilted his head at the shewolf's question. The desert? Was there a desert nearby? The forest and the human ruins of his childhood were all Dragomir had ever known. How interesting to think a place as desolate as a desert could be within a lifetime's reach!

"No, not at all," he answered. "I'm from around...," he trailed off as he realized that his family had never had a place for their home besides, well, home. With a slight grimace, he answered inelegantly, "Here. I'm from around here. The forest, I mean...Are you from the desert?" It felt like the polite thing to ask.

Drago listened intently as Nyrie spoke. The desert sounded rough and unforgiving, and he made a mental note: Don't go there! When she mentioned the large water though, his ears perked and pivoted at the new, interesting image her words had conjured to his mind. Large water? Like, a large drop of water? Or, a large body of water, bigger across than a river?

Lost to these thoughts, he almost did not catch the second half of her inquiry, his mind circled back around to the conversation at hand. "Huh?" He said first before his mind caught up with her words and, before she could repeat herself, he jumped in to reply, "Oh, well, it's a little embarrassing, but I've kinda been lost, so I've been searching all over for a stream or river. It's important to stay hydrated, you know!"

Speaking of which, Drago dropped his head to the water and happily began to drink.

Drago, barely lifting his mouth up from the water, replied between drinks, "Now that you mention it, that's true! It's, y'know, a clear smell, I'd say. A clear, good smell!" Now, if prodded further, Drago was sure he could not describe what he meant by a 'clear smell', but the description felt apt regardless. He was curious about this big water and its odd scent. Was it far from here? How close would he have to get to smell it?

The questions turned over in his mind as he finally finished his drink, feeling properly quenched, and reflected, "There's so many smells out in the forest. Trees. Leaves on trees. Leaves on the ground around trees. Bushes, which smell just a little different from trees but kinda similar. Squirrels. Birds. Rabbits. Deer," he realized he was backing himself into an endless list and jumped forward to his conclusion, hoping she got the point,"And, other wolves! So many smells. Yep. I bet that's why I missed it."

He nodded his head curtly. Happy with his conclusion.
