Dex Entry:

Quetzalmala; The Electric Being Pokemon

Having a body entirely made up of electricity and static energy these Pokemon can freely move through electrical devices.

Most cases of power outages during a storm are caused by young inexperienced Quetzalmala who cannot yet control their static electricity.

Physiology:

Body Type: User Image
Height: 4' 4'' Is most common; their sizes can vary.
Length: Wingspan - 10' for a common Quetzalmala; varies by Quetzalmala's size.
Tip of 'beak' to tail feathers 8' for a common Quetzalmala, varies by Quetzalmala's size.
Weight: Condenced roughly 15 lbs for a common Quetzalmal, varies by Quetzalmala's size.

At first glance, a Quetzalmala is commonly mistaken as a bird, for many they mistake them for a Uniquely feathered Swellow, however after closer inspection the form of the Quetzalmala is simply the collection of multicoloured electricity, the colour could be a means of showing which electrical current is the strongest. They are often seen with Yellow, Light Blue and Bright Red bodies, however some have been seen with Green, Purple and Grayish bodies.
Perhaps the most defining feature of the Quetzalmala is the four long, bright red, lightning bolt shaped 'feathers' that dance below it's ever elevated body.

Habitat:

Quetzalmala strive and are most frequent in rainy/moist climates. Troipical places such as Alola are where these creatures make their homes. Though, any where that is often visited by lightning storms or storms in general are sure to attract Quetzalmala.

Behavior:

However abundant storms are in any region, Quetzalmala are actually a very rare sight to behold. They are often hidden deep in storm clouds dancing with the lightning long before it breaks the clouds to be seen by humans. Their bodies, holding no physical shape that one can hold, they can easily disperse their visage and become one with the lightning or static air. This being said, they fear humans and will do their best to avoid coming to close to earth. However, young inexperienced Quetzalmala are bold and often clumsy and since they can not control their own bodies as well as older Quetzalmala, they can get caught up in a lightingbolt and end up trapped in power lines. Once trapped, it takes a long time for them to regain their bodies. They will wander aimlessly though power lines searching for a way to escape, thus they can cause power outages or surges doing so.

Diet:

Quetzalmala live and breath electricity, thus they do not need physical food. However, if they do not consume electricity in any form they can cease to be. Trainers who are lucky enough to have caught a Quetzalmala can use several methods to create static air, or simply allow their Quetzalmala into an outlet or electrical device. (Which can/will drain the battery)

Breeding Information:

Egg group: Undiscovered
Gender Ratio:Genderless

Quetzalmala's only means of reproducing is simply breaking off a part of it's body to create another of it's self. This is usually done by older Quetzalmala and often a sign that their electrical bodies are ready to be consumed by the atmosphere. The amount of times it can reproduce vary greatly, and it is not known what regulates how many can be formed. Scientists have observed up to 5 is the most common.

Evolution:

Quetzalmala do not evolve.
