How Advendures Work
Adventures are quite literally D&D one shot sessions that are set within Tendaji! We will try to host at least one session a month, and this session will be played in real time for about 2 hours.
|| Owners can submit one character of theirs to participate in an Adventure. || A session must have at least 3 characters playing to run. || Adventures will be capped at 6 characters per session. || If more than 6 characters have signed up to play, characters will be split into 2 separate groups appropriately and 2 sessions will be held. || Sessions will be held on discord.
We do not expect anyone to come on board for a session as a D&D expert! We are all here to learn together and to make this a fun experience for as many owners as we can. We will walk you through anything you’re unclear about and you can ask us any questions you may have both during and outside of adventures!
What is in an Adventure?
An adventure will have some sort of goal that has to be achieved by the players. This can be anything from an interrogation, treasure hunting, a busy tavern scene, a quest to retrieve something for a person of importance, to other endless possibilities.

Creating a Character Sheet
Those who are familiar with D&D know that creating a character is a detailed experience with dice rolling, stats, equipment distribution, and skills. These things can seem overwhelming to those who may not be too familiar with D&D or with the classes we’ve made available.
We’re here to help! We’ve listed a few resources for making a character sheet of your own to play from with your characters. And if after looking through it you still don’t know where to start, or don’t know if you’re doing it right we’ll be here to walk you through it.
Kaname423 will be able to help you make a character sheet for your individual characters. It can be somewhat of a long process to make a character on your own, so please message Kana on Discord if you need the help: kana#6629
Character Levels A character’s D&D level is partly determined by their Tendaji stage. In order to level up your character sheet, you must grow your character. Levels are adjusted to make sure that our owners can have a blast using their character sheets, so we’ve listed the D&D level equivalents to our Tendaji stages. Please reference below to find out what level you should make your character sheet.
|| Stage 2 - Level 3 || Stage 3 - Level 4 || Stage 4 - Level 5
During adventures there is an opportunity to level up with activity! If your character is granted a level by Tendaji staff, please make sure to update your character sheet to reflect this. If your character had leveled up beyond the standard level for your stage, just add one level when they grow! (Ex: your stage 2 character has leveled up to level 4 with activity. When they grow to stage 3 level them up to level 5!) Character can reach up to level 8 with activity!
Character sheets should be posted in the Character Sheet Roll Call thread for staff to keep track of and approve!

Species Conversions
Tendaji species can be translated to these D&D races in order to gain their stat bonuses and skills. You should use the Players Handbook to fill out any skills, languages, and traits you receive from these races in your character sheet.
Aishan || Wood Elf Earthling || Human (can use normal human or variant human) Kahikinan || Water Genasi (not in the Handbook) Aishan/Earthling Hybrids || Half-Elf (Must be 1/4-3/4 Aishan to use this race)
Class Conversions
The classes in Tendaji can translate directly to a D&D class when used in an adventure. Players will be using this list to convert their Tendaji class to a D&D character sheet. Almost all of these classes can be found in the Players Handbook linked in the post above. Any class not found in the book will be listed with a link to an online resource. You must use the book for the general information regarding your class section, and then the link for your specialty. (The last word of each class is their general section in the book, ex: Arcane Trickster Rogue - rogue is the book section, arcane trickster is the specialty)
Some classes in Tendaji have a choice between multiple D&D classes, those choices will be listed here. You may only pick one!
Conversions Aishan Classes:
Amazon || Berserker Barbarian or Oath of the Ancients Paladin Sacred Heart || Eldritch Knight Fighter or Wild Magic Barbarian Guardian || Cavalier Fighter or Totem Warrior Barbarian
All Other Classes:
Language Conversion
When creating a character, D&D also utilizes languages to make play more interesting and in some situations difficult to communicate! While the D&D languages don't make sense to us here in Tendaji, we will also be using languages in adventures when the timing is appropriate.
Characters are able to know the number of languages in Tendaji that they would normally know on their character sheet. (ex: the race, class, and background of your character allows them to know common plus 2 additional languages: your character will now know common plus 2 additional Tendaji languages)
||All playable characters in Tendaji know common! You cannot choose your languages and not choose common as one.
Common || all characters know common
Aishan || the language spoken by alkidike and elaria Mothertongue || a language exclusive to aishans, used to commune with their mother trees (cannot be learned by anyone other than aishans)
Jauharan || the language spoken by shifters Talean || the language spoken by leaf earthlings Sautish || the language spoken by wind earthlings Zenan || the language spoken by ice earthlings Oban || the language spoken by fire earthlings Matorian || the language spoken by water earthlings Yaelish || the language spoken by yaeli Belrean || the language spoken by lightning and geian earthlings
Kahaka || the language spoken by the kaha'iko Menenese || the language spoken by the menehune Mohakan || the language spoken by the hapuna and the moakai Kawenish || the language spoken by the kawena

How to Play
Tendaji adventures will run using the D&D system. All rules will be followed within D&D 5E edition.
Basic Rules(This is a very good site for the way D&D works for those who may not be familiar)
If anyone has any questions before or during a session, we are always happy to help! With practice the system becomes second nature and a great deal of fun but the best way to approach it is just one step at a time and taking things as they come.
In order to play in an adventure, owners will need a functional character sheet, a way to roll dice (either physical dice sets or an online source), and access to our discord.

How to Sign Up
We will be hosting sign ups for different campaigns and one-shots in this thread.
Characters who sign up for a campaign are expected to be able to commit to the full length of the campaign. This will be listed with the other information in the thread linked above.
Generally speaking, we will list the number of expected sessions, when these sessions will happen, how many open spots and any level restrictions, and a brief synopsis of the intro to the campaign/one-shot.

Rewards!
Participating in a Tendaji adventure should not only be fun but it also results in certain rewards for that character!
At the end of any participated adventure, the characters actively involved will earn: || 10 Growth Points
Characters only partially participating may earn a decreased amount or none at the DMs discretion. Adventures run by the shop owners can have their points adjusted for difficulty or length.
|| Characters also have the chance to earn additional items and equipment during the session that can be used in future adventures! This happens fluidly through active play (items drops, investigations, payments, gambling, etc)
Owners are expected to keep track of any item drops their character receives on their character sheet (or in their journal).
|| These rewards only apply to that particular character. || Owners are expected to create a post in their journals with a list of adventures that their character has participated in and in what stage they did so. || This journal post will be used in the growth request forms when that character is ready to grow again.
