“I honestly don’t know. I did feel the part that was hidden in the ground, just the exposed part. That would certainly be hot from the sun. If I had checked it quickly and the hidden part was hot...that would definitely be a concern. However, I didn’t, but the sages would certainly check for such things. We shall leave it in their capable hooves.”
She picked up her bucket finally and looked over at him. “I think returning to Homewood right now would be most ideal. I can no longer handle this heat. Plus this item is probably a hot topic waiting to happen.”
Turning on her heels, she began walking back towards Homewood. She decided to note to herself to invest in a water container and harness. Carrying water in her bucket wasn’t ideal, especially when she found items to bring back with her. And as much as she loved strange artifacts from the Others, this one was repelling to her senses. She’d have to sanitize her bucket when she got home.
