Magpie | Caretaker | With Rain Song & Hidden, greeting guests
It was impossible for Magpie not to stare at the adorable, expecting couple with glistening eyes. They really were too precious together. And then Mourning Dove made her way in with an unusual but extremely thoughtful and crafty gift for Rain and Sparrow, and Maggie smiled and wagged her tail in response, enjoying her position as bystander for once.
Red Oak and his charming self responded to her inquiry in kind, and Magpie was about to answer when Hidden Away spoke up. And suddenly, his attention was elsewhere. Maggie couldn't help but smile - the shewolf deserved the world and more, and she really hoped Red Oak planned to give it to her. Judging by the looks on both their faces, they seemed to be pretty in sync. Maggie only wondered if they knew. Soon enough, Hidden made a comment to Magpie and sneaked off with Red Oak, the two walking side-by-side, making a brilliant gradient of reds and oranges.
Her gaze moved about the crowded wolves before landing on Fernwood and Halcyon, sitting together near the wood pile. She thought about approaching them, but didn't want to leave Rain Song hanging. That was why, when she saw Ghost Whisper enter the clearing, she motioned her chin toward the two females.

Hidden Away | Caretaker | Talking to Red Oak
Hidden Away was bold but bashful, surprised at the way Red Oak responded to her. She hadn't expected him to be so receptive, but instead he seemed to be very much into the idea of spending more time together. She wasn't sure in what capacity that was, but she held out all the hope in the world that it was romantic, at least to some degree. She could spot a funny look in his eye - a glint that wasn't normally there - but she wasn't entirely sure of that observation.
When he indicated he wanted to speak more, right now, her heart leapt. And it remained in the air for quite some time, swelling at the sound of Red Oak using his nickname for her. She didn't even speak, merely nodded, and rose to all four paws. "I'll be back soon," she murmured to Magpie, nodding and smiling wide to the rest of the gathered crew before she gave Red Oak a meaningful look and followed his paw steps to a nearby tree. Really, it was just a more private area, away from the hub bub, that would allow them space that they certainly didn't get very often.
"I, ah..." Hidden started speaking, but wasn't quite sure what to say. "It's really sweet of you to show support to Rain and Sparrow by coming - you really didn't have to do that, you know. But of course, it's very much appreciated." As his presence was, always, she wanted to say, but didn't have the guts to. She shifted her gaze away from him, eyeing up the bark of the nearby tree.

Ghost Whisper | Protector | Speaking with Rain, Sparrow, and Hawkflight
Ghost Whisper, having heard from someone along the line of chit chatter about the incoming pups, had sped her way to the gathering. Even so, it appeared she was late - oh, well - she had a fresh kill and that took time, damn it, so others better understand.
Immediately, Ghost caught her aunt Magpie's eye, following the other's strange and jerky motions to Halcyon and Fernwood, who were sitting together, off away from the rest of the group. Well, to be fair, the rest of the group was just gathered around Rain Song and fawning over her and Sparrow. But they did look like they could use some interaction.
Ignoring Magpie, Ghost Whisper walked over to Rain Song and politely waited her turn before dropping the small kill before her feet, grinning wildly. "Sparrow, Rain, congratulations! I'm thrilled for you guys! And the rest of the caretakers, who have the honor of helping you raise what I'm sure will be a beautiful litter."
She smiled, before catching sight of Hawkflight and smiling even brighter. "How'd we manage to get four protectors at this shindig? How are ya, Hawkflight?"
