Wrangler
In the town of Univille, in the mideastern US (like eastern kentucky or west virginia maybe?), the mountains rolled and from certain cliffs one could see miles of trees, like an ocean of green during a storm. The fall they changed orange to yellow to brown and the winter is a ocean of white. They are use to the ice and snow, so their arent many accidents. Today felt like an amazing day for Cody Mikao, who recently turned 19 (unless we change the age up slightly) but he saved up money and through some help from his mother, was able to dip into his college money to afford a new car. He was so happy and picked it up from a dealership, a black and purple jeep wrangler, one of the newer models and he went more with the sporty addition rather then offroad. It still had offroad aspects but he got the model that was less, not to take doors and panels off. He was driving a road more off the normal path home to test the car's just new smooth drive. He loved every minute, enjoying his music as he drove along, as the sky was a bit overcast. His radio staticed a bit as something burst through the thick clouds and high fog in the sky, crashing into the big lake nearby. Shocked, he didnt know what else to do but investigate, driving down a connecting road that went to the shore of the lake. As he got their, he slammed on the break to find something big, metallic and humanoid crawling out of thewater. He was freaking out and about to reverse and drive away but he noticed it twitch and lay on its side, something sparked on its chest. Whatever it was, it was giant but it was injured clearly. He parked the jeep and got the tool kit he had from his old hand me down car he drove that literally was falling apart, hence the new car.
He put on electrical gloves and got to the large metallic being, "Holy s**t... a giant robot..." he said but as it groaned, he shook his head and got his tools but began to move a panel to repair and reconnect some broken connections. After a bit of work and able to basically get a decent patch going, the sparking stopped and the big bot 'gasped' but was clearly no longer in pain of dying. Cody got off him and stood back as the bot sat up, better repairs would need to be made but he would heal, but it looked at Cody, "You... saved me?" It said which surprised Cody, "You speak english?" He asked as it nodded, "Yes, i was able to connect and find a language program when i was appraching the planet..." the robot said as Cody was confused, "So why are you here and should i be worried that you might be deadly?" He said bluntly. The robot shook his head, "Honestly, i dont remember why im here but its not to be hostile, but my memory banks arent fully working... they must have been damaged when my craft was hit." the bot stated as Cody nodded, "Alright, i hope you arent lying... i really cant think of who to call or how to explain this." He stated as he went to put his tools back but as he clicked the keys to have the back open, as it opened, the bot saw the car move and paniced, getting up and rushing it, punching the front and crushing the engine of the car. Cody froze in shook as the bot stood fully with the pieces of engine in his fingers.
Cody looked up as he dropped his tool kit, "Are you ******** serious!? What did you do!? Why did you... you said you werent here to be hostile!" He yelled as he examined his vehicle but the bot tossed the metal shards into the lake, "Sorry, old instincts, i thought it was a decepticon..." it said as Cody was pacing, "My mother is going to kill me because it looks like a tree punched through my engine... shes not gonna believe this and if you arent evil, then i cant tell everyone that a giant robot exists without the government invading the mountains!" He stated but the bot looked at him, "Do you have anything important in the vehicle?" the bot asked as Cody walked over and pulled a plastic bag and a messenger bag out, but as he emptied everything out, the trashed jeep was picked up and thrown over the lake, before the bot's hand turned into a cannon and shot the jeep, causing the firey mesh of metal to fall into the center.
Cody was horrified and walked to the edge of the lake, "What the ********! Why did you...?" He stopped when he turned around to find the bot missing and his jeep there, which made Cody look around as if he had gone crazy but the driver door opened on its own, which as Cody apprached, the radio glowed slighly, "I need to hide and since i destroyed your vehicle, i can solve both problems by being your vehicle, besides, i like the look. You also saved my life and i know their are more out there like me, if any are here, i can protect you, i owe you a life debt." the bot stated as Cody put his stuff in the back and got in, "Seriously? Alright but since youre the visitor, ill drive alright, besides, im picking up a friend so please, be quiet and dont say a word, alright." Which the bot didnt say anything, "Okay, you dont have to be that serious... whats your name?" Cody asked as the radio glowed again, "Dont remember, but the vehicle said Wrangler... i like it. Call me Wrangler." It stated as Cody shrugged, "Alright Wrangler, call me Cody and now please just be quiet while i pick up my friend. Cody drove for a little bit til Cody pulled into town to a parking lot to pick up his friend as he smiled, seeing her as she got in, "So your text said you found a motorcycle at some junk yard... you think you can get it working again or do you need me to give it a look?" He asked his friend, he was giving her a lift home today since she had gotten their via another ride. Cody was a techy/engineer kind of guy, having learned some a good bit about computers, hardware and engineering.
