After the issue with mirrorspace during Acubens trip he'd been visiting more often. It wasn't that he was looking for trouble, he wasn't much for trouble, but he wanted to make sure the place was safe. Mirrorspace hadn't acted up during any of his trips, which was good, but that still didn't explain the monster they'd come across. Wraiths were a thing, yes, but something like that...it seemed very much out of place. It seemed more like a youma to him.

Running his fingers through his dark hair the senshi of gorgon's peeked around a corner, just incase, before turning down the hallway. So far he hadn't seen anything, not even a single crystal. This time he was hoping to come across one, if he was lucky enough, so he could donate it to Acubens project. It wasn't working on his own floating island or helping Fulu with his but it was important, to the whole of the dmc, and he was always wanting to help his family.

"I wonder if beyond the mirror...if our own homeworlds are safer than this city." But they couldn't reach those homeworlds even if they were safer. But...what if they weren't even there? What if they were dead planets with no life? Or worse yet - had been devoured by the chaos seed. Maybe life though was flourishing on their home worlds and people lived there...and they had no senshi and needed them? Would there be another Kiuchi? While he was here? Always one to worry about others he felt guilt over such an idea. He couldn't help where his mind wandered, not when walking about hallways which were better suited for a mental institution, this war was just so unsafe for them and their faction was so small. He didn't mind that they were small but it meant they couldn't well defend themselves if either of the other factions turned on them. He also just wanted a better life for them - all of the dark mirror court. Their homeworlds, so far away, seemed like a good option...like the only option. But they couldn't get there.

"I wonder how we even came to be? Why a connection to something so...unattainable rather than the planet here? Like the other senshi." Shaking his head he stepped into a room slowly, hesitating as he glanced about. "At least here is safe. I just wish we could stay here longer."

Mirrorspace was full of mystery and danger, always shifting and changing from one path to the next. An endless hall of doors, closing and opening silently.

And mirrors.

Infinite mirrors.

Sometimes, shadows moved in them. Sometimes there was a flickering reflection of someone else in the mirror, gone too quickly to confirm or deny that it was ever even there to begin with. Sometimes there was no reflection at all.

Mirrorspace was a prison of devoured worlds and souls, silent but for the occasional distant crumbling or shattered glass or scuffling of wraiths as they scoured the halls.

Silent, except, for a strange echo that followed Kiuchi's spoken thoughts.

The mirror nearest to him hummed, like a drawn out whisper. It was metallic, like it came down a long steel hallway.

And then sharply, distorted, a voice rang out. "I can hear you."

It sounded almost pleading, desperate.

From another mirror, closer but across the hall from the first, "Where are you?"

Too lost in his own thoughts, both a loud and silent, the senshi hadn't heard the echos following him. He did however hear a humming sound. It was odd and stood out in the normally silent mirrorspace.

Turning around, expecting to see something, or maybe someone masking their signature, he was met with nothing - absolutely nothing. Mirrorspace was as vacant and absent of life as usual. It was at times depressing to think that this was all they had - this was home. Their floating islands were something but most were left bare and absent of anything.

His thoughts didn't get much time to go further down the rabbit hole - a voice was speaking. It was simple words, only three words, but it was an unfamiliar voice and it sounded off. It wasn't like someone was standing here with him talking. Turning around, this way and that, Kiuchi sought the source of the voice before turning to a mirror by him which seemed to be producing the voice.

"Mirrorspace - I'm in mirrorspace....who are you? Where are you?" Could he somehow reach for whoever was inside the mirror speaking to him? Already he was coming to stand in front of the mirror, fingers gently touching it's surface but not pushing against it, seeking to travel past the mirrors surface. "Or do you mean what planet? Where in space?"

A few more mirrors seemed to catch a shadow that moved amongst them, desperately searching for the source of the voice. The mirror before Kiuchi flashed and the shadow was distant, far away. The voice carried though, with a strange, brittle echo.

"Lost," came the answer, distorted and faded. It sounded like a message, warping in and out.

"I'm lost. Where are you? --Where do you hail from. Which galaxy, which planet. Please. Keep talking."

Moving as if trapped in a maze and trying to find his way out, moving this way and that and checking mirror after mirror, he finally found one that wasn't blank and empty. The voice was from there and he stood fixated in front of it. Reaching out, but not touching, as if he could reach towards the person inside of it.

"Lost? What do you mean lost? Where are you? I can maybe help." Oh how he wished he could but he didn't think he could. Could he pull someone from a mirror into mirrorspace? What about where this person was? And they were asking where he was from. For a moment it sent a cold chill through him. It reminded him of her the Queen who wanted to know where they were from so she could ravage their home and destroy it like so many others. It wasn't safe to give out such information but he fell to the same thing he had back then..wanting to help.

"Earth - I'm on Earth...the Milky-way galaxy." Not that he figured they'd know where that was. Whoever this was...if they weren't from here, from Earth, they likely had some other name for it. His answer was, he figured, useless and unhelpful. Just as useless as asking them where they were from - but he asked anyway. "Where are you from? Maybe I can help you." He didn't know how...he couldn't get into space. But maybe someone else could?

"What happened to you that has you lost?" Gather information...gather everything he could and let Remarque know. Maybe their prince could help, or find someone who could, he wanted to help now just as much as he had back then. But this wasn't someone promising them so many things...this wasn't some royal of an admittedly dead planet.

"Does lost have multiple meanings?" the voice asked, not sarcastic, but strained. The voice was speaking again, though it was distorted, like every other word was drowned with a cracking noise. A mirror across the hallway cracked and the voice hissed lowly. A shadow appeared in the mirror closest to Kiuchi but it was far away and distant.

"--The mirrors are unstable," the voice said, desperate. "They cracked, and I fell. You shoudln't be here."

And yet, it didn't sound like it wanted him to leave.

"It's not safe here."

"No! I'm just wondering where you are and how you got lost....how you're inside a mirror - or mirrors." He went on to correct himself quickly as he shook his head, whether the other could see or not.

"Unstable and you feel....but mirrors hand on walls so how did you fall into one." He did agree it wasn't safe where he was...mirrorspace did have a mind of it's own. It did things none of them could explain.

"Is there anyway I can help you? Where are you from and who are you? Maybe I can help." And he wished he could. Pressing a hand to the mirrors surface, where he was speaking to the other. He wanted to reach inside and grab this person - to help them.

"Tell me how I can help you. I want to get you out." And bring him here...to mirrorspace. But then he could bring him out of mirrorspace. He'd help this person - whoever they were.

"I don't understand it, myself."

The voice flickered in--and for a split second, it looked like the figure disappeared from the mirror. A few seconds later he appeared across the hall, a bit closer.

"...I hate this place. I want out. I've been searching for so long. It doesn't make sense. I should be dead. It won't let me die."

The mirror cracked; it split right down the middle, as if someone had hit it.

For a moment, the hall was silent, and then--a tired whisper from somewhere nearby--and then a hand, on the mirror.

"I don't have time," the voice said softly. His whole form was black, impossible to see--but it was there. Right next to him, in the mirror, hand pressed firmly against the glass. "I won't last forever. I don't want to die. I'm losing my mind, too. Please," the voice begged. There was a low hum in the distance--a loud, reverberating sound, like a piece of metal had been hit. There was a crunching sound from somewhere else, and the air seemed heavy, and cold.

"I want to help you - to get you out." He knew it might be dangerous, that this person might be dangerous. It was a lesson well learned. But this person....he wanted to trust them. They needed help - his help. But how could he help them? Moving towards the mirror they were at now, as they'd changed mirrors, he took a moment to look over their hand.

"It won't let you die....how old are you? I'm assuming that's why you should be dead? I mean...do you even know how long it's been?" He doubted it, he was sure the other didn't know. He was sure if he was stuck in the vast whiteness of mirrorspace he'd lose track of time. There was no way to tell day from night and thus no way to tell the passage of time.

"I have to find a way to get you out. Do you know anything that might help? What planet and galaxy are you from?....What's your name?" So maybe he could find him...somehow. As he spoke, desperate to know who this person was, to have a name to put to this person the eternal was pressing his gloved hand to the glass. Trying to push his way into the mirror like he would any other time. He could pull people into mirrors with him...he could walk through the mirrors in this hall so maybe this one too...he should be able to enter this mirror or at least a hand so he could save the other. Right?

He was determined to help as he pushed with everything he had in order to try and get past the mirrors surface so he could help and free the person. "I'm going to try and get into the mirror." He was going to try but he couldn't promise anything. Should he call someone to help? Remarque? But he didn't think the other would want to help, not like he did, and he was an eternal! He should be able to do something! He wasn't just a basic senshi anymore and he should have some power to flex and help with.

For a second, Kiuchi's hand didn't move. The glass was solid, unwavering.

And then, it rippled. His hand slipped through, his fingers laced with the stranger's. For a split second, their hands were connected, his hand slipped through. He was wearing a dark glove, worn with time and use.

His hand slipped through the mirror--and then his wrist.

And then, a loud, cracking sound echoed through the air. All of the mirrors in the hall splintered instantly and the ground shook. The figure beyond the mirror cried out, as if in pain or surprise. His hand slipped away, violently yanked from Kiuchi's grip. The mirror exploded outwards, sending shards blasting everywhere. The shadow was gone from sight and the hallway Kiuchi stood in crumbled below him, sending him plummeting below. He landed in the common room the Dark Mirror Court shared when first entering mirrorspace--a few yards away from the great black doors of the throne room.

The ceiling above him looked unmarred--solid, again, as if the hallway he'd been in had never existed.

Mirrorspace was quiet. It was still.

It was empty again.

He almost cheered when the mirror moved, rippled, under his hand. He was doing it! He was going to get to this person and pull them out - he was sure of it. He didn't even think that their age, their time spent locked up, might catch up with them once they were thru the mirror and into this world. He didn't think of anything but getting them free as his hand touched the others and he was able to get a hand out and even a wrist. But then it all went wrong.

Falling over as the ground suddenly shook, it wasn't expected, his hand slipped from the others just as their hand left his as well. "No!" Calling out in surprise, and outrage at this, he moved to stand as fast as he could. Pushing the vertigo, at such quick movement, to the side he went for the mirror as it shattered out towards him. A spray of glass went everywhere and all he could do was throw his arms up in an attempt to block out whatever glass he could. It didn't help, not completely anyway, but his face wasn't injured - just his arms. just as he went for the mirror, to touch the now broken mirror, the ground gave out from under him and limbs kicked anf flailed as he toppled to the ground below and landed with a thud - a loud thud.

The pain that coursed thru him when he hit the ground was enough to have him curling in on himself. s**t..that hurt. Wincing and moving slowly, after some seconds of not moving, he managed to crawl his way to the black doors where he stood upon reaching them. He needed to call Remarque. They needed to talk...he needed to tell the other. Maybe they could do something....they had to...right?

Looking around, as if something might be watching him, he pushed the doors open and entered the throne room.
