IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, because it's been a hot minute and you were, y'know, on a hiatus
or left gaia for whatever reason, LOTS of stuff has changed.
Specifically this area will go over as much as possible with visuals to help and try to square
away some of the disorientation you might be feeling about coming back. Because once you
come back, it's like what now? What's different? What do I do?
This area caters to those questions about how to get your Gaia Life jump started again. Some
things are the same, some things are different. So without further adieu, here are some tips
from me that I've learned from being back on Gaia.

First things first, you may be wondering:xWHAT IN THE HECK IS PLATINUM?
And you're not wrong. This is the first thing that comes out of everyone's mouth. Heck, it was the first thing out
of my mouth. But this is the new currency on gaia. Here's a conversion chart (GG to plat) for your convenience:

▇✱Hot Tip 1: Switch your currency from GG to Plat.
You're basically gonna deal with smaller numbers and it'll make things a little easier to manage instead
of having to deal with all the zero's in GG. See how to switch below. ↓ ↓ ↓
Here's how to switch your currency over from GG to Platinum:

Step 3: Select the button next to Platinum
Step 4: Click the Save All Changes Button at the bottom of the page

▇✱Hot Tip 2: How to make EASY Plat!
Here's a list of easy ways to earn Platinum:
⊹ ▬Login daily for Daily gifts (it will be a purple-ish pop-up that you click)
⊹ ▬UFO Catcher Dailies (see below)
⊹ ▬Browsing you will earn about ~1p
⊹ ▬Voting in the Art Arenas ~150p under the Avatars tab
tab tab To find: World > Art Arenas > Avatars | Amount will gradually go down & cap at 1p

⊹ ▬Posting gives you ~100p+ each time

Here's the basic rundown of the UFO Daily Catcher:

This is the Daily Chance machine, which dispenses free prizes to you!
Logging in 6 of 7 days in a row gives you the gold machine.
Whichever version you have, it drops three types of prizes:
-a varying amount of pure currency
-components for Alchemy/GoFusion
-items exclusive to the Daily Chance

The UFO Catcher can be found on all parts of the desktop navigation bar except the Catch tab. The parts
in the green square are where you will find it in this visual:
Note that to use this feature (UFO Catcher), it must be enabled under the Feature Options of your My
Gaia Settings page. If you do not wish to see this feature, you can also disable it from the same

▇✱Hot Tip 5: Check for Announcement Candies!

These aren't daily, but I would check every other day just in
case they show up. Here's how
to find them, but be warned the candies are very small and easy to overlook:

Step 1: Go to the main page by clicking the Gaia Online logo.
Step 2, 3, & 4: First, go to about the middle right area and find the Bulletin Board. Secondly, you will
want to click the major announcement banners, as depicted by red boxes I have manually put in the
image. Thirdly, the candies you want are very small, round candies & will be in the upper right hand
corner of each banner, which I have indicated with a green circle. Please note: my banners in the
first image do not show the candies because I have already collected them. The second image shows
what the candies look like and it is indicated by a red square. It should also be added that they do
not appear daily. Simply check back every now and again, and they may be present.
Step 5: Once you have clicked on the candy, it will open the full announcement in a bit of a pop-up
window. Scroll down to the bottom and find a hot-pink button that says "Claim Reward" & you will
receive a random amount of Platinum or GCash (sometimes both). Please click this button to
receive it. It is usually the very last button on the announcement and it will be bright pink.

▇✱Hot Tip 6: How to Use Ghosting ID's!
Since the implementation of Gaia's own Avatar Builder (tektek replacement), 'Ghosting' is a feature
where you can type in the user ID number of any given Gaian and if they have Ghosting allowed,
then you can see what items they have on their avatar and sometimes in their inventory.
