 Darkness Come Quickly didn't really know where he was going, but he knew he wanted to find a home and a pack before winter. He had no interest in facing the winter months alone. He wanted a mate and pups someday but for now, he wanted to make sure he had a home for the winter. He happened to find himself in the Bluestone mountains on his search because his own family had lived in these mountains when he was young. His parents, however, were now gone and his siblings scattered across the land. Something about the mountains drew Darkness back. So here he was with no particular destination in mind.

With a chipper bounce in her step, Meandering Minstrel hummed as she walked aimlessly across the mountainside. Winter was approaching quickly, but, used to it as she was, she wasn’t too worried about surviving during it. Worst case scenario, she would head south once things got colder. It may not be warm down there, but it was still warmer than up on the mountains.
So why hadn’t she already done so?
Well, for the adventure of seeing what the mountains were like in winter, of course! The debacle with the strange dream in the flowers had left her wanting to seek out more, and thus, here she was.

Darkness continued on his way till he heard a sound coming up behind him, he looked over his shoulder and saw a female wolf coming up behind him. He quietly watched her to see if she would stop and speak to him. He patiently waited to see what her move would be once she spotted him. He had not really considered consciously that his choice to come to the mountains had anything to do with the weather it had during this season. Since his memories of the mountains were a bit fuzzy from when he was a pup. He didn't move much as he stood there waiting.

Mea paused in her walking as the scent of another wolf caught her attention. Oh, she always loved meeting new people! Of course, she hadn’t expected to him to be standing quite so near her.
With a slight jolt, the female gave herself a shake and then smiled sheepishly, “Oh, hello! I didn’t even hear you approaching.” She blinked, “Or maybe I approached? Sorry if I did and I didn’t notice you!” She gave a little hop in place, “Who are you? Do you live around here? I’m Mea!”

Darkness blinked as he looked at the bouncy excited female as she asked her very confusing question, she clearly was not very observant otherwise she would have known that she had come towards him, not him coming towards her, but it was no matter. "I am Darkness Comes Quickly. You came towards me but I suppose my trail to see if you would notice me if I just stood still was met with interesting results since it confused you so." He said simply. He shrugged his shoulders "I suppose it depends how you look at it. I was raised in these mountains as a pup, but this is my first time returning in a long time." He looked at the female "What of you Mea?"

She tilted her head at his response, now confused because of his confusion, and then gave her head a shake to bring herself back to the conversation. The she-wolf hummed at his answer, nodding as she said, "I wasn't raised here, nor currently living here. I just like to travel, and meet people, and this seemed like a good place to do it!"
Mea grinned sheepishly, "At least, that's what I was told. A lot of wolves live around here, right?" Not that she was looking for wolves, specifically, but they were the more common.

Darkness Comes Quickly shrugged he did not know if there were many wolves in this area since he had not been in this area since he was a pup, he hoped he would find a pack living in this area but it was not something he could guarantee. He looked over the pretty female he had spoken to her more then he had spoken to anyone else in a long time. She had an energy about her that was very lively and charming. He did not think they were meant to be since he wanted to find a pack and she wanted, travel and adventure. Meeting her was nice thou.

His non-verbal response did put a slight damper on her hope for others here too, but she supposed that, if he'd only just come back, he might not know either. So, no need to lose that hope quite yet!
Instead, Mea simply nodded back, "Well, I'll just keep looking until I find them then. You want to come with me?" She wasn't sure if he would, since they'd just met, but perhaps he'd like to see a few more wolves as well.

Darkness Comes Quickly smiled he didn't mind that Mea asked him along and they had talked a bit, he nodded he did not mind the company as they searched for other wolves in the area. It was a comfort to not be alone and she didn't seem to be pressing him to talk more than he wanted to talk and perhaps he would decide to speak more to her later. He gestured with his head in the direction he thought they should go in their search for others. "Are you seeking a pack?" He asked in a soft tone. As he started forward slowly.

That got her to smile widely again, and Mea started after him with a happy trot.
At his question, she shook her head, "Nah, not to settle down. I'm not sure I'm ready for a pack." Nor was she sure she'd ever be. She loved traveling a bit too much to want to settle. Besides, this way, she got to meet so many intriguing people!
She flicked her tail thoughtfully, before clucking her tongue, "I would like to meet the packs who live around here though. I'm sure they must be interesting."

Darkness Comes Quickly nodded his first guess had been right she was a free spirit but that was alright. "I am seeking a pack to join hopefully before winter." He said softly "So if you wish to travel with me till we find such a pack that would be fine." He hoped they would find them soon. Darkness could not say how many days it would take to find one of the Blue Stone Moutain packs but he was hopeful. He knew packs had lived in this area before. As his family had lived here when he was a pup. (Darkness is already in Hornsfel so you can have Mea and Darkness find them in the storyline in other rps if you want XD He meets up with a couple of Hornsfel characters somewhere after this point in his storyline.)

"I'd love to! Or, well, at least until we find you a pack to call home." She giggled, then picked up her trot, "I'm sure there's a pack around here somewhere, some place you can call home, and I'd be happy to help you find them."
Mea nodded with a look of certainty, determined to help where she could. She usually had good instinct about things, or at least she liked to think she did, and so if she felt like he'd find a home soon, she was sure he would.
"So let's find you that home, shall we?"
