The legend of The White Widow is at least several hundred years old, though it is unclear if Silke Weaver is the original White Widow or if The White Widow even truly exists. The legend has many variations depending on the region and the teller but all the tales agree on several things: A maiden from the northern regions (some say a small, isolated village and others say a hidden glacial kingdom) once fell in love with and married a man. Some say he was a prince, others that he was a childhood friend or even a total stranger. Regardless, the tales agree that on their wedding night she killed her husband. The reasons vary from discovering unfaithfulness to uncovering he consorted with dark powers but the tales all end the same: The White Widow fled the north and traveled to the known world to avoid the vengeance of his family and friends.
Silke Weaver has often been referred to as The White Widow due to her matching the description from the legends: A pale and withdrawn demoness talented in ice magic and wielding a giant scythe with great strength. Silke has never confirmed or denied that she is in fact the White Widow from the legends though she hasn't rejected the title. As for what is known about Silke Weaver is that she is a wanderer who travels the kingdoms for reasons unknown. She doesn't often get involved in events that don't concern her but from time to time she will intervene. Silke is not afraid to get violent and has been known to be the cause of absolute massacres without remorse or pity to her enemies. She speaks very little and rarely attempts to justify or explain her actions leading to her other nickname of " The Icy Silence". What she's looking for and why she gets involved in some situations and not others is unknown but her ice magic and talent with her scythe has been proven more than once.
