Snow Rabbit and Burst Hare had once met when they were very young together, before Hare and his brother Bane had lost their home. Although Burst Hare was not up to becoming an Iron Hide, at times they would meet up to hunt. Today Snow Rabbit brought Chase to meet the young male. At first the cheerful female wolf was intimidating for Hare but after a bit he had gotten to know Chase while looking for a good elk to hunt.

Although Bane was more of the Hunting savvy twin, since becoming lone wolves the two had shared the job. Bane had been off doing something for someone else anyways. Hare had been learning his own paws from his twin's, in a good way and it was now for his time to shine. Chase had decided to lead the hunt, which was a good bet since Snow Rabbit was blind and Burst Hare wasn't a very good leader. She steadied them into positions, making Burst Hare's job to flush out the targeted elk from her herd, allowing Chase to push and land blows on the elk while they shoved the elk towards Snow Rabbit.

He steadied himself low in the grass, waiting for Hare and Chase to sound off being closer, he heard the hooves pounding the Earth. A cry of the Elk made Snow Rabbit steady his large body to spring into action as he landed on the back of the Elk. Hare moved up against the elk, throwing his body into the neck to crush the wind pipe. However the elk took a moment before she succumbed to the weight of the wolf on her back and the wolf crushing her wind pipe. Chase smiling proudly as the two younger male wolves had done the dirty work. She let her tail swish back and forth happily as she helped Snow Rabbit step off the elk cow and Burst Hare lapped at his jaws contently.

"A good kill you two!" She'd chirrup happily. Allowing Snow Rabbit to lift a howl for their kill, it was an odd thing the Iron Hide Alpha did, but nonetheless she rose her maw in song along with him and Hare smiled shyly from his 'corner'. Snow Rabbit didn't take a chunk for himself and allowed Burst Hare and Chase to consider it. "Snow Rabbit, could you help me push this back to Iron Hides?" Chase inquired and with an agreeing nod the trio set to help the Iron Hides. Along the way, Chase's eyes kept moving to Burst Hare's dyed shoulder. "I didn't know the pack disbanned." She tilted her head, which made Burst Hare wince physically. "Oh.. I am so sorry Hare." She insisted as she realised that something worse had perhaps happened? She moved to nose the young male as Snow Rabbit blinked. Not being fully aware of the situation as Burst Hare never spoke about it and the wolf couldn't see the dye on Hare's shoulder.

"Bane and I are the only ones who survived a fire." He looked at his paws lightly, "It's been.. Odd and I am alright. Just trying to get used to being out of the pack now." He shrugged, but when he looked at Chase she was devastated. "I am so sorry, like I said. I can't even imagine losing your family like that." She whimpered and tucked her ears back, shaking her head. "Don't feel bad. You didn't set the fire." He shook his head, "We were in a drought." Snow Rabbit looked mortified at the two others' direction. But he was reassured by Burst Hare with his words. "Well you are always welcome in our home." Chase stated, Snow Rabbit chuckling. "I know our pack may not be what you want in a home but we are always happy to see pack friends every so often. And you did a good job with the hunt today."

"I don't know, I didn't think you could pull off throwing yourself on an elk. I thought you'd miss." Chase said in amusement but a chuckle of assurance escaped her. Burst Hare chuckling lightly, happily surrounded by kind wolves even if they had been talking about touchy situations. "Well I'll de..definitely visit." He stuttered lightly. "Ihopetofind a place to rest my paws someday, even if it isn't Iron Hides I do hope..that it's an ally."

With that, they finished up getting the kill to the hungry pack, allowing them to feast on it. It was soon Burst Hare would leave to go and find his brother. Snow Rabbit settling back into his routine and Chase returning to the fields to consider new targets of food for the pack later in the week.
