This is a puzzling issue as it only happens for some users. We will start collecting more information from those who have problems and hopefully will find a solution this week or the next.

Dumpster dive is tied to checking if items are soul bound or not, we will need to see if we can make the exception without breaking the system. We will put that on the todo list.

for the past 3 weeks or so, kindred has been blackscreening for certain people on certain devices. what this means is the game does not load at all. screenshot of dolphin on my iPhone (though none of my many browsers work, not even trying through the reddit app)
when i saw kindred was in the app now, i immediately updated only to be crushed by another blackscreen.
a few other people have been having this problem. what could possibly cause the game to not load at all?

We will need to run some debug when the problem is occuring to find out what the cause would be. Please open your browser's console log (if on desktop) and see if there are any errors in the error log. Otherwise we will need to reproduce it on our end to fix the issue. I will talk to Lionheart about this and see if he has any other ideas.

Ok, so we've seen the Cloaks of Invisibility released several times through Flynn's. Fine. But will we see (within the relatively near future, as what was somewhat alluded to in another topic) them released through OTHER avenues, so that more users have a chance at them?

Yes, it will eventually be released through other means, but for now Flynn is having fun traversing space and doing pirate-y things.
Would it be possible to maybe at least give people from other time zones a better chance at winning them by changing the time of day future auction(s) end? So far they have all ended at 2 AM my end (Sweden) and I'm sure there are other people who would want one where it's even later when they end.
The timing has been a bit over the place for the plunders. In this past month or so I thought that they've been pretty diverse in their end time (middle of the day, night and middle of the night (my time))—but we can look into diversifying the end time even further in the future.

The event is going on until September 2nd, and there's still more to be discovered. Once the other phases are released, it won't make the past phases disappear, so there will still be opportunities to participate in this first phase etc.

We should have made it clear that phase 2 and 3 are released on week 2 and week 3 of the event, so the current bugs should have no effect on the speed of completion. Please keep your kins in your inventory and the achievement will be triggered when it's fixed.

For two of the achievements, we need to have 4 or 8 kin. Do all of these kin need to be gotten in-game or can we get them through the marketplace, trades, and gifting and still have them count for the achievements?

It should work regardless of where the kin was acquired. ninja

Summer Event Major Bug(s) Preventing Users From Progressing (IMPORTANT)
1. Hello. The new summer event seems super fun. However, no one is able to go past Phase 1 even if we have our checklists completed – the ‘Claim Rewards’ button simply doesn’t work. I created a topic about it yesterday and a lot of users reported the same issue. So basically, we’re stuck on Phase 1. Are you aware of the issue? Screenshot of what the users see:
2. Additionally, the two last achievements for defeating the boss display as claimable, but when users click on them, they are met with the following message: An error occurred while loading achvs
3. Moreover, a lot of users reported an issue related to the achievement for visiting Lake Kindred through the Go Gaia App, basically the site doesn't recognize that users visit LK through the app, therefore they cannot claim their achievement for that.
4. Also, the egg drops % seem to be abysmal, a lot of people report fighting the event kins for hours on end and they haven’t got a single egg drop yet (I’m one of them). Is the drop rate as intended? Is there any chance the drop rates could be raised?

The three bugs mentioned should be fixed later today. We made some changes and it broke a couple of things, sorry.
Phase 2 will open up next Monday, btw. We will add a note about that.
The drop rate will get better as we reach phase 3.

there will be more opportunities for obtaining these things during phase three.
As Phase Three will present a new option for getting said drops.

With the recent art related contest it clearly showed that there are A LOT of really talented artists on this site. I'm kind of curious to know if there could be an official art sharing thread where the art in that thread could have a chance of being featured on the front page? Could encourage more creation and could also maybe serve as a nice way to find artists.
Naturally, the art have to have some relation to Gaia Online and be within the site rules. If it would be implemented, it would also be nice if there was a "cool down" for each artist once they do get featured, because it would kinda suck if there was only a handful of artists being repeatedly featured if a lot of people do end up sharing their art in that thread.

I was trying to get a submission page up and running a while ago but there were a few things I needed to be changed (on the backend) before it could truly be published. I can try and look into it again soon.

Hi there,
I will have to check into it, but unfortunately, if I remember correctly, when we unbound rings we did so saying that if you did ever get rid of them we would not be able to replace them for you. That was one of the conditions of un-soulbinding them.
If I find out otherwise I will make sure to let you know...

Has the event been fixed to count activity done in LK Lite yet? I earned two eggs from that version before noticing that nothing seemed to be counting from it, and I'd hate it if those hours of work turned out to be pointless.
Related, could we get an official stat on the drop rate for the event kins? It seems to be pretty terrible for everything I've seen, like not even a 1% chance.

As long as you have the kins in your inventory it will definitely count. We will have the achievements fixed shortly after ATS.

We don't seem to have any of that info on the event page and many of us are confused as to why rewards for Phase I are not claimable, as well as how the system is atually going to work. Some of us are farming hoping to complete egg drop achievements but apparently it might not be worth it to farm now if we want eggs....some help figuring stuff out, please? sad

So catwalk was pushed out recently, it looks kinda neat, maybe in its later stages I won't mind messing around with it o:

First off, SOMETHING, perhaps this is leading to botlike numbers. People that entered gold on 08 13 19 had over 3000 votes. It's been YEARS since we saw any numbers like that. It's actually been like A year since people broke like 400 :/
- The plat incentive, I get, like I understand why it's there. At some point, it switches to 50p per vote (whether on a newly voted entry or not) and uhhh stays there? For...ever? That's uh not great, in the grand scheme of things? This actually appears to be largely a visual glitch, but it also adds more random votes into the runway system.
- There's zero cooldown. On runway, you can vote on X and if you get X in your next pair, you have to wait like 30 seconds before you can vote on X again. I was actually super fortunate to get this situation today with minimal voting.
There was. No cooldown. No 30 seconds, just a second vote and boom 50p, next pair.
I've also seen someone mention that the captcha (that normally activates after 20 votes) is not affected by voting on the app, meaning endless voting whether you're subbed or not.
- Like the early days of runway, you can also uh vote for your own entry D: Which is. Hmm. We've recently seen an influx of cheating return, so I think making it easier for the most determined in anyway is not good.
- Voting ON runway entries through the catwalk app also grants the entries being voted on not just one vote. But... seemingly random numbers. In a small test, we saw "one" vote give 130 and another "single" vote give 250. Another one we saw over 1.5k D: This info has been compiled nicer here and extra info has been sent along to a staff member.
If catwalk and runway are going to stay connected then I feel like the above should be addressed. Personally I feel like they shouldn't? Let them stand on their own two feet and all that.
But! If it is just early day jitters! Great! I'm excited to see what catwalk will bring us. Standing alone though, it should perhaps bring a bit lower voting incentive and not allow people to vote for their own entry.
But as long as voting is separate from runway, I think both features will turn out just fine!

Runway entries show up when there isn't enough catwalk entries. Once more users submit through Catwalk, there will be no more Runway entries.
I do notice the unusually high numbers, I'll run through the voting log and reset the vote values and fix any bugs causing this. Thank you for the report!

It would be nice for the system to still address the missing prizes from the 6th to the 11th, but since then things have been a little... screwy (yesterday (13th) especially) because of the catwalk addition. Of course! In this time it would be nice if the big museum could continue to update c:

All the old Mythrill coins that are pre-platinum era have been untouched, think of them as collector's items at this point. What I did was update the naming convention for all the relevant/existing coins so they say their platinum values.
If you did sell back an old coin that is in smaller gold amounts, it will contribute to your Platinum Balance, but likely in a small unnoticeable amount.

In a previous AtS, long, long ago, someone asked about changing the runway rule that allows asking for votes in CB to no longer be allowed. A staff member said you would revisit the idea of removing the exemption of CB votes, but nothing has come from it, so can we now get a definite answer to that question? Can we change the rules to no longer allow begging for votes anywhere?

Sorry we couldn't find a good way to automatically enforce this rule. Unlike Avatar Arena, it was much harder to detect patterns where this is happening. For the time being, we can only have moderators remove Runway entries from reports of this happening.
