Hello and welcome to my [ Lab 305 ] quest thread. This thread will feature some things I'm considering on trying to make a reality. Thank you for stopping by and I love comments and suggestions.
This new quest was started on July 25, 2019.

 Green Thumb Normally, when you say someone has a green thumb, it means they are quite good at gardening, keeping plants alive, that sort of thing; but it wasn't literal by any means until this gem showed up. A woman was born with a literal green thumb. As she grew however, the thumb grew hard, like stone, and shed itself from the girl by the age of thirteen, yet persisted to work its magical touch on plants. This strange thimble-esque shell has the ability to bring dying plants back to life and/or accelerate their growth with just a touch. It's also been said the plants that are touched by the stone have "come to life" so to speak, but no real evidence of that has been documented.

Caladrius  Reason: I have chosen the Caladrius as the soul because of the way they heal. I knew I wanted a healer-esque character, or one that could eventually help people through healing. This mythological creature stuck out to me as being a healer, but with a twist, as the creature itself has to take the illness into itself first before being able to dispel it. This gave me so many ideas of potential plots for the frei's future.For more information on the Caladrius mythology, go here. Fetch In such context, the fetch (aka: doppelganger) is a ghostly or paranormal phenomenon and usually seen as a harbinger of bad luck, even death, especially if seen at night. POSSIBLE POWERS :
A Knack for Plants: Passive - Aevah has a definite knack for gardening and as she enters an area full of flora, the flora around seems to swell in appreciation for her power, looking livelier and flourishing.
Rejuvenating Touch: Active - By touching dead or dying plants, Aevah can revive them to full bloom.
Timed Growth: Active - By touching and concentrating on a plant or seed, Aevah can cause it to grow exponentially faster than it otherwise would. She can also slow down the growth of a plant to a crawl if need be. This does tire her out quite a bit when used.
Living Flora: Passive - All plants are "alive" but they don't move or have minds of their own; until Aevah touches them. Once she uses either her Rejuvenating Touch or Accelerated Growth abilities on a plant, there's a slim chance that it may come to life and be able to move it's roots, stem, leaves, or petals according to it's own "mind". As this power develops, chances may increase, and one day Aevah may find out how to control this power to make it active.
Healing Sight: Active - Using an immense amount of power, Aevah can slowly absorb illnesses into herself by staring deeply into a person’s eyes, alleviating some (if not all) of the pain/illness from the person in question. From here, she must rid herself of the sickness quickly, as it can take hold and bring her down instead.
Aura of Health: Passive - Aevah has the ability to feel whether or not someone will recover from an illness. She feels very unsettled when someone is sick and they aren't able to get better. Though this is much more of an instinctual feeling than anything.
FEEDING : Aevah feeds off of the energy in nature. Just being out in nature rejuvenates her and makes her full. A very symbiotic relationship to be sure. Gardening and being one on one with flora is her absolute favorite meal.

Aevah tends to be considered one of the most benevolent and gentle creatures on earth. She is very nature oriented, loving to visit the outdoors whenever possible and just be around flora and fauna. She's a 'witch in the woods' as she likes to say. Her love of nature is definitely not lost on anything or anyone, as she also enjoys being sociable with others as well.
The drawback to her very soft nature is her excessive need to be present and helpful to everyone. This is a struggle on a daily basis as she is very emotional and empathetic of those around her; even the flora have emotions, and Aevah can sense every twinge which she tends to let control her emotions as well. If things are going well, she's boisterous, rowdy even, to the point she must be told to quiet down -- as she can get a bit carried away at times when getting to know someone new. Though when the mood in the room is more calm or somber, Aevah tends to emulate a more negative, quiet, and gloomy emotion. One of her biggest struggles is trying not to feel all the emotions and pains others are feeling.
Very curious by nature, Aevah loves to learn new things and is very vocal. She will ask questions from dawn til dusk, and even then she has another slew of questions just lurking under the surface to ask everyone. Sometimes the questions may go to far, as she doesn't seem to have a filter yet and doesn't truly understand the way interactions with humans and other raevan work.
Overall, Aevah is a wonderful person in most regards; it's her excessive, overbearing nature that she needs to learn to reel in and control.

NAME : Gabriela "Giselle" Flores-Garcia

A beautiful young woman, tall in part due to her 5” heels, slender with caramel skin and radiant light honey eyes. She shared a bright pearly white smile with a small gap in her front teeth as she enters a room. She has a few dark freckles across her nose and cheeks. Her long wavy dark to light brown ombre hair flowed down her back and was topped a floppy golden straw sunhat and a beautiful cream colored boho sundress with cut off shoulders. She adorned a long pendant necklace that held a rather chunky rose quartz stone that draped down to the middle of her person and a couple of beautiful handcrafted rings, one on each hand, which contain clear quartz crystal and a jade crystal. She is quite modelesque and held herself with poise.

Giselle has always proven herself to be very personable and caring, with a constant smile on her face. She is a gentle soul with a vivacious spirit. Her hardworking demeanor has allowed her to achieve much in her short life as she always follows her passions. She is quite whimsical, always playing a practical joke on someone to lighten a mood. Even though she has always thought of herself as a kind individual, she has a tendency to be very earthy, blunt and forgetful. She also has her own insecurities about her body like any other young adult but she tries her best to quell those thoughts as soon as they creep up. She also tends to be a bit sensitive when it comes to certain subjects, especially ones she is passionate about. She will always try her best to make light of a situation and does not do well in awkward or tense situations.
HISTORY :
Gabriela Flores-Garcia, born on July 12, 2001 to parents Antonio Garcia and Maria Flores and older brother Victor. When she was two years old, her mother gave birth to twins, Mateo and Matias. The whole family grew in El Salvador before immigrating to Gaia when Gabriela was just 8 years old. As a child, Maria called her Giselle after her own mother, as she was always reminded of her mother when Gabriela spoke.
As the family grew within Gaia, the world was so different. Magical creatures lived here and everyone was always so busy and bustling. But for a mundane family, this was all so new. They kept to their beliefs, always attending church at least once a week. The kids all went to public school growing up and everyone was kept to their schedule. Father worked a full-time job at a factory. Mother worked as a maid for a local hotel. The kids each had their own after school extracurriculars that would keep them busy.
As the children grew, Gabriela’s older brother, Victor, fell in with the wrong crowd. When he started high school, he and his friends would spend their free time after school smoking weed, cigarettes, and whatever else they could find while she would use that same time studiously or crafting jewelry and the twins would play soccer.
One night, Victor had snuck out of the house and met up with his friends at a house party a town away. They spent most of the night drinking and smoking until the authorities were alerted and broke up the party, arresting anyone they could. Luckily for Victor, he was able to get away. He called his mother to pick him up. She angrily agreed and picked him up. As the two made their way home, Maria was silent, only speaking with disappointment at her son. As they went down a long winding road, lights would pass by but suddenly, a light shone bright in the windshield and within seconds, everything was over.
Maria Flores died instantly and Victor was in a coma for a week before coming back and realizing what had happened. A drunk driver had slammed into the van head on. The entire family was shaken. Victor blames himself, hell, the whole family blamed him for his mother’s death, regardless of what the truth was.
After Maria’s death, Antonio was forced to get a second job. Working two full-time jobs was hard on the family. He would come home during the weekend and drink his life away while Gabriela decided to go by Giselle in memory of her mom and stepped up to take care of the household as best she could. She cleaned, cooked, and took care of everything for the men in her life.
Victor continued to go off with friends. He dropped out of high school to sell drugs. Every now and again he would bring home food for the family with what money he gets. When he does show his face, the twins are so excited to see him. Giselle understands what her brother is doing but never gives him the time of day. The two fight constantly.
Now that she has just graduated high school with a 4.0, she is living her life in order to take care of her siblings as best she can. She now works for the Mystic Herb as an apprentice to Reuben Rothmore.
