tab tab tab Nik was born 1984 to Percilla Graves, just three years after the ‘death’ of Voldemort. He never met his father but was told by his mother, Percilla, that his father was a wizard as well. Niklaus spent his early childhood in America before he and his mother moved to Scotland. It was a time when the Wizarding world was returning to normal after the fall of Voldemort so they were able to live a relatively happy life. He went to Hogwarts when the time was right and got the best marks in all musical subjects as well as in Transfigurations. Of course he was three years behind Harry Potter so he was witness to a great deal of what transpired in Hogwarts at that time. Regardless of his upfront ticket to the events as they unfolded, Nik tried to stay out of them as much as he could.
His mother, however, wasn’t so lucky. When the second wizarding war broke out she had been hit in the chest with a stray curse. Niklaus never found out who killed his mother. With sheer hatred of what was going on he stayed in Hogwarts through it all; the torture and the return of justice. It was difficult seeing as every summer he had to go to an orphanage until he turned seventeen and could live by himself as wizarding law permitted.
At first he took short jobs at pubs and wizarding establishments around the European community. He did the odd jobs for a few years, singing whenever he got the chance to entertain (free of charge at that time), until he was found by a decent wizarding family that wanted to pay him to sing at a party they were throwing. Niklaus worked his way around through a circuit like that until his voice became so common to hear at all the good parties that he eventually was offered record deals. More like vinell deals really considering the level of technology that would work in areas of high concentration of magic.
Since then, Niklaus has put on multiple of concerts in grand halls and houses. He may not be the kind of wizard that most of the younger generation would hire but his skills are appreciated in sophisticated wizarding circles.
