As an avid Lake Kindred player and one who spends a lot of playtime in Fafnir's Peak I find myself to be stocked up with kins' egg which have no real use outside of the game. Me and other players find ourselves in situations where we're sitting on a pile of Rosepea, Flyvern and Vulcarus eggs and the only real options that we have as of now are either sell them back to the system for 0 platinum (!) or trash them. I don't count selling them on marketplace as these eggs are very easy to obtain in-game and there's little to no demand for them on the market. There used to be craftable items such as Rosepea Style, Flyvern Style and Vulcarus Style, but the recipes for them have been taken out of the game and honestly they're not that popular within the community anymore.
I would like to propose an alternate route of dealing with the eggs, similar to what we already have when we want to acquire an Elegant Chirpette egg. It is a must to exchange 100 Chirpette eggs in order to get 1 Elegant Chirpette egg. So why shouldn't we have a similar technique applied to Rosepea, Flyvern and Vulcarus and get one recolored kin egg for a hundred of standard eggs? Basically like this:
100 Rosepea eggs -> 1 recolored Rosepea egg, same for Flyvern and Vulcarus.
Benefits of such a change:
1. Exchanging 100 eggs into 1 egg would help with decluttering user's inventory from all the additional eggs that drop.
2. It would establish a better economy on the marketplace for the eggs, meaning more incentive to play in specific areas.
3. Collection value: new kins which you could add to your personal collections.
4. The procedure would involve another site's feature - Alchemy. We'd have to pay a small amount for a formula to create a recolored kin egg + a small fee for the alchemy procedure.
5. The Kins would come free (apart from the small fee of Alchemy/Bitfrost formulas) and would be obtained solely through playing the game (meaning more playtime required for the eggs).
6. Most importantly! the models and animations are already in the game. Thus the only treatments that this change would require would be to recolor the three kins and probably twitch their in-game statistics a bit so they differ from the standard Rosepea, Flyvern and Vulcarus.
I believe that 100 eggs is a fair amount of eggs required in order to obtain a 1 new egg, not too easy, not too hard. I'm focusing on Fafnir's Peak, because the area is the only one that has no real use for eggs outside of the game, but some users suggested they'd like to see a similar feature implemented in other areas (more recolored kins).
The suggestion was met with a positive feedback from the LK community (basing on a thread which I created in LK Forum) and a lot of people expressed their support for the idea both in the forums and in the poll provided.
(question: would it be a good change? 26 voted for 'yes', 0 for 'no', 11 for 'i don't know').

Thank you for the suggestions. We do have an update coming and we will look into what we can do, either before or after the update.

I'm not sure if it would be possible or to complicated, but would it be maybe BE possible at some point in the future to be able to choose what way our entries face when entering? The closet shows avatars facing one way while the entry page shows the complete opposite view :<
There are a number of items that change when facing the other way (some below in spoiler) and while this is neat (!) It sometimes makes it hard to build entries for.

Yes, we can horizontally flip the avatar before saving it on Runway. I'll add that to the to-do list for an option.

Unfortunately every update from Google and Firefox the flash animations had been further and further blocked or disabled. You can make astra items animate after going through a number of changes on the browser's settings. Meanwhile, there's little we can do to make them just work by themselves.

That's a great suggestion also, we'll look into adding that option. We've made some changes lately and it should be easier for us to change the background during dress up.

Will we have future contests that aren't just Go Gaia screenshots? I don't use the app and I'm sure there are many others that doesn't that would like to participate in some kind of contest. I'm particularly aching for another art contest! But anything that takes longer then a press of a few buttons to participate in would be nice.

The upcoming summer event is for the Gaia Online main site. We definitely don't want to only give attention to the mobile app and will look into art contests also.

I was wondering what kind of encryption do you do for private messages? I know Gaia's built on old PHPBB 2.x, but have you added any encryption since?
For instance, Discourse uses JavaScript to create AES symmetric encryption prior to transmission so that it can't even be intercepted, and stretches the pub/priv key using PBKDF2, and further hashes the private key with the users password that is only decrypted on the client with said password and stored in IndexDB.
Given that much of Gaia's JS infrastructure is rather dated, is there encryption? Do you plan to add such encryption?

Gaia has yet to implement a symmetric encryption for our messaging platform. Message content are stored in clear text, and while encryption in general is a good thing, implementation means essentially all moderation related to messaging would be highly difficult, so it's not currently high in our priority.

Has there been any progress fixing the "security connection issues" users are having with connecting to Fishing? I've seen a few people mention they either have to keep trying for upwards of 15 minutes to secure a connection or not be able to get in at all, in many cases this is across a variety of browsers/devices.

I'll go in and reset the server and do some monitoring right after ATS, hopefully that'll help fix the problem.

People have been asking for that for awhile- and if the shares linked back to the site; it would help with advertising the website. Having this feature on mobile would be great too.

Lots of users primarily access the site on mobile and they shouldn't be stopped from flagging abusive or otherwise inappropriate content.
