Myli was in the scribe cavern looking for something she had lost, she huffed and grumbled her favorite scribe writing tool was gone and she was worried one of the other scribes didn't realize it wasn't there for everybody that it was a tool she had made herself and it had taken her a long time to make it work right. She had gone through so many sticks trying to find the right kind and getting it to fray at the end just right so it would write smoothly on the scroll. Now it was missing or it was under something she wasn't sure yet.

San had never actually decided on her trade and in that way was a bit like her mother who had also never decided what it was she wanted to do. There was a bit of this and a bit of that to be done around the pride so San helped out in areas where she felt it was needed.
Today she was in the scribes caverns helping organize the scrolls to keep them properly stowed away so they wouldn't go bad.
That was when she saw Myli looking for something. San put down what she was doing and approached the other lioness with a puzzled look.
"Something the matter? " She asked.

Myli looked up at the other lioness and blinked she had not realized there was someone else in the scribe cavern with her and they were clearly working and she was acting like a crazy lioness, she realized that scribe work was done with her claws but she thought her pens was lucky but she didn't really want to explain what she was doing and why since she thought the other lioness would think her foolish. "Umm well I'm looking for something, I'm sorry to have bothered you." She said blushing though it was hard to tell since Myli's fur was so dark. "I'm Myli by the way, I'm one of the scribes here."

"Oh you're not bothering me," San offered with a half smile. Myli had offered her name which was polite of her so San figured she'd do the same.
"San," She replied looking up and down at the lioness. She had certainly seen the lioness around but the two had never interacted before now. Funny how things like that worked.
"What is it you're looking for? Maybe I can assist you." The gray lioness offered.

Myli sighed out deeply she didn't like being a bother and she didn't want to trouble anyone with her silly trinket that really didn't have anything to do with her scribing except she believed it made her a better scribe. Which she thought was alright since it didn't hurt anyone else. Myli considered San's offer to help and she blushed again. "Umm well, it's this stick that I frayed the end of it's my lucky charm for scribing." Her cheeks felt like they were on fire, she was sure San would laugh at her for such a silly idea. Since the scribes used their claws to write.

San gave an inquiring smile and nodded.
" A lucky charm huh? I bet that is pretty important. Scribing seems ..." She paused for a moment thinking of the words to describe such a job and ultimately landed on, "Stressful." That summed it up just about in her mind at least.
"Well where was the last place you remember having it?" There was no time to lose if the two were going to find this charm for Myli. San already felt bad that this scribes concentration was broken so she wanted to mend things as quickly and as effortlessly as possible. A troubled scribe was not something she wanted to see.

Myli smiled she was so relieved that San hadn't laughed at her it was a great comfort to her and her body language was much more relaxed. She frowned and then said "No no, well I suppose sometimes worrying about getting something written down just right." She pondered the thought she did always want to be better, better smoother writing. "I was working with these skins here and I suppose I got bogged down with my work and didn't realize it had gotten so late and haven't seen by lucky charm since." She has some ink smeared in her fur.

The lioness lifted a brow and eyed the halls many hides with great interest. There were quite a few the two would need to go through so San prepared her self mentally for that before asking.
"Do you know the area you were working last? That might help us narrow it down where it could be." Her tail swished leisurely from side to side as she awaited the others response.

Myli sighed softly she was at least able to answer the next question, though she had hardly realized what a mess the hall was filled with hides everywhere. "Yes, I was working over here." She led San to the corner that she had been working in and started carefully lifting some of the hides looking for her missing pen. She looked over at San and waited for her to join, since she wasn't finding her lucky charm alone. She sighed "Maybe this is hopeless." She said with a sigh, wondering if she would ever find her lucky charm, or if she would have to much a new one.

San had joined in the search when the two reached the work station and it was clear that the halls could use a cleaning. Hides were every where and San could see where something so small like a charm could be lost easily.
The lioness flipped over hide scroll after scroll looking frantically for the thing only stopping when Myli had said it may be hopeless. San looked up from her search pile deep in to the lionesses eyes only pausing when she saw something strange balanced upon the others ear.
Something... wooden.
"Uh... Myli." San blinked up at the scribe. "Whats that on your ear?"

Myli reached her paw up to her ear and felt her pen there she blushed and then laughed "Thank you so much San you are a life saver I couldn't have found it without you." She most likely really couldn't have she was a bit of a nutty scribe and sometimes couldn't get through the day without a lion with a calm head on their shoulders. She smiled and thanked San again.
