Thank you firstly- and second here's a little run down for yah^^
this outfit was inspired by traditional garment of my native bands and mixed heritages. Miqmak, Dominican, and Irish.The cross in particular is the 8 pointed star, a common symbol of my people and many other bands- it is a combination of the 4 arrow star- and the medicine wheel.
Mi'kmaw Medicine Wheel contains four colours: red, white, yellow and black. These represent the four races of man, of which Native Americans were aware long before the arrival of the Europeans.Each direction has an associated spirit helper, an element, and a sacred medicine.

As for the star symbol itself.
The historic Mi'kmaq symbol originally had seven points to represent the traditional seven districts of the Mi'kmaq Nation. An eighth point representing the British Crown was added when the Mi’kmaq began signing treaties with the British Crown.

Notice she has moccasin shoes as well. Specially the ankle boot type my people use. But yes, these combined with all the afformented you stated- makes for a very mixed design that thankfully, fits the KH them well enough^^
