We had a library that was used for inserting video in the forums which was brought over to profiles, but we will definitely look into updating it as well as disabling auto play.

Old guild information might be recoverable, depending on whether it's closed or deleted. We will need more information to see which case it is.

How in the world do you post a reply in a thread with the new app?
I see no options for it except quoting someone which I dont want to do.
The app is great for Dress Up, but bad for forum posting and mail checking. I use the OLD Gaia app for forum posts when I dont feel like logging on my phone's internet app.

The blue menu button on the bottom right brings out additional options, to which the option on the far left on the menu is for posting replies. We will make more improvements on the mobile forum as we continue development on the mobile app.

Hi there,
It's not specifically a glitch causing the issue but we are looking into getting this issue resolved for accounts such as Athearn's. Hopefully we will have a solution A.S.A.P.

I was thinking why not do the daily log in this way you get platinum/gold one day then an item the next day.
So, for example, Monday you get plat/gold. Tuesday you get an item, then Wednesday you get plat/gold again & so fourth.

We have plans to change it up from time to time depending on the week/season/events that are occurring! It took me a bit of time to prep the latest mystery grab bag and learn how to change stuff in the back end! Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass it on to the team!

This had been a tough one. I can only imagine that somewhere along the way we encountered some database issues. It had happened once, a long time ago and we lost some precious forum data. I'll need to dig deeper to find out if that was one of the threads affected..

I went on a hiatus and when I came back it was no longer in my inventory.
Which leads me to assume I accidentally trashed it before I left for months.

If you want you can create a General Inquiry ticket in our Help Center, but to be honest, the queue is somewhat backed up and without specifics I can't hold out much hope we can find when it was removed from the account. Without that info we just can't grant it back unfortunately.

I feel like it is getting harder and harder to find items on the marketplace that are listed and that aren't incredibly inflated. Sometimes it takes weeks and months to be able to purchase an item because you have to wait for someone to list it sad
Would it ever be possible to have some sort of admin bot that maybe posts items for sale that aren't listed? or maybe to help regulate the user inflation?

We can look into it for the mobile forum, but for the main site's forum it'll be pretty tough as there are a lot of things such as all the word bubbles which need a lot of work to make them work right in dark mode.
I had started working on something for that here

For the images it just does some inversion and gray scaling manipulations.
I plan to expand on it at some point in the future.

Would it be possible to revisit the required item "filter" that was implemented on Runway at one point? Off-theme entries continue to plague Runway, especially in contests that require a particular item, and it would be nice to see a solution that doesn't require dragging mods away from more pressing issues. smile

why did you remove so many flairs?
if you were planning on removing them, i think you shouldve given an update about it or something.. rather than just recently saying that NOW they last 3 months

I think it was announced quite a few times that all birthstone flairs would sit in the store for 3 months each, and before each thing that leaves there's an announcement to remind people of when they leave (if it's not originally stated within the announcement itself).
i still think it would be very very beneficial to have a timer up in the store itself.
even if people would want to just snipe them before they left or something.
then it would be possible to at least KNOW rather than '3 months from now, i have to remember, this item is leaving'
the cash shop has a bunch of timers so why would it be different u__u
Oh the store is built completely different than our regular set of stores. But we did want to build out a timer, it's just still on our own queue of things to do! Thank you for your feedback!

considering things are QUITE expensive in there, it would be nice to know what we are buying without having to look it up in the MP first or something.

It was just one of those things where the current Gaia Store(s) is built with very old code that we didn't just want to keep tacking on random new code to customize it if it would just result in something messier in the end. There is a lot more on the drawing board, which is probably why we felt like it would be better off as it's own page.

I am trying to release all the scripting codes for zOMG online, as far as the actual code goes, I'm happy to share, thought the client code is written in flash which isn't very useful for development now days. Backend was written in java and it was designed to work with SmartFox, which requires purchase of a license to run.

Do you guys plan on continuing to use Alchemy? The system seems vastly underused and could be an excellent gold sink. Questing alchemy wings now seems pretty useless since you can get much better ones for cheaper. It would be nice to have a new long quest in Alchemy to get people re-invigorated with it.

Yes there should be new alchemy formulas and items. That should be one of the ways to get some of the more coveted older items on Gaia.

It is the only place that drops More Starfish Clips, many of the other drops no longer drop from it either. Im guessing it isnt supposed to be active anymore but its weird.

greets! the runway currently has an issue with off-theme avatars entered into topics with item restrictions. is it possible to get a filer system to weed these out and save the mods (and voters) time? (example being the "gothic veil" this past week - see thread for more info on the issue. Heliotropical suggests this as a solution on the bottom of page 3)
this is just my personal addition, but it would be kinda cool if such a filter could reduce set abuse too (like you can use an item twice at max, but any more will stop you at the gate or something)

I see where you're coming from. On the software side it is very hard to identify if someone is on theme or not. We can potentially use existing keywords but we will have a very high chance of false positives which blocks a lot of legitimate entries from posting. I'm also not sure about the idea of forcing an item to be used X number of times, as that doesn't seem to factor into the idea fo keeping entries in theme. Please elaborate when you get a chance.

This was a week ago, and it's still broken. Any news that could be given regarding this? It's okay if it's just a vague answer, I'd just like to know if it's being looked into, and what part of the fixing process it's in. Thanks!

Sorry that bug should have been fixed last week as it's been a long outstanding bug. I'll see to it that it get fixed tonight or tomorrow.

We're working on bringing back the old train stage and train station, there won't be new maps unfortunately as those assets were all made in Flash.
